Probably a bow and arrow, because you can shoot that from long distances. The person you're shooting at might not see you.

If use a knife or sword something that is easy to carry and use like an extension of my self but maybe I could use some fairly thick sticks as well

I've seen that my little bro has horrible aim and I think that there is a pretty good chance that I have bad aim too and I have good control of my body ( I do karate ) and for some weird reason we learn ( it's weird cause karate means empty hand ) weapons and I am fairly proficient with the Bo staff wooden sword and the Cali sticks
