How do you join a fandom?

Well, it depends what fandom you want to join.
If it's a music fandom, find out as much as you can about the singer or band members. Download their songs and watch their interviews.
If it's a book or a movie fandom, find out about the characters and choose your favourite. Think of what ships you like, and read the book/watch the movie a lot.
Then join a few fansites, meet other people in your fandom, and make references!
And then you're in the fandom! :D
