Ok so I have softball tryouts in a week and then the season lasts for 3 more months I'm expecting my first period to come in 1-4 months and I need to know if I can wear a pad NOT a tampon cuz I'm to scared to use a tampon. Yes, you can use a pad. The only sports you can't use a pad for is swimming. I just don't know how comfortable a pad might be. Personally I hate pads because they feel all bleh and not okay. And just to let you know, tampons might SEEM scary before you try them, but they are not bad at all. I actually prefer them. You get used to them after the first time.
Yes i wore pads for PE yesterday, and when we had sprinting test, i was in the top three i was like "LET ME OUTTA THIS WORLD OF PERIODS AND CRAMPS!!!!!" better to wear tampons during running and stuff but you could wear pads

Pads serve the same exact purpose as tampons. You can choose between them however you want (unless you're swimming...but you're not). Just make sure you change it often and get the ones with wings because you'll be moving a lot and you don't want to stain yourself. If you notice your periods are too heavy for a regular pad (they come in different sizes) get the "old lady" ones. They're in the adult diaper aisle and they work wonders. Hell, if you want to avoid staining yourself See More

Tampons are fine, they don't "get lost" or anything, if you look at them they have string and that string is meant to stay outside of you.

You can, but it probably wouldn't be comfortable. Wearing a tampon really isn't scary and when you wear it, you can't feel it unless it's not in too good, but otherwise, you can't feel it! Ask your mom, a friend who's a girl, an older sister, cousin, or another trusted woman to give you a lesson. Trust me, you will be glad when you wear tampons! I was

Where what ever is most comfortable for you. Tampons are way uncomfortable especially in sports.
