Is there a diferense between goth and emo?

Goth is based around gothic rock, and emo is based around emotive hardcore.
Goths can be any age, I have never met an emo over the age of 24.
Goth is a subculture, emo is just a bit more than a trend.
Goths tend to be wiser and darker whereas emos are dark but it's an angry sort of dark.

Emo is actually an abbreviation for emotional, and some people find it a bit more offensive. So, if you are to go goth, I recommend taking offense to being called emo.

Emos are more... Emotional at times. They tend to be sadder, and think life is just dragging them down. They're known as the 'ones who are sad and cut' nowadays. Emo is a type of rock music believe, so emo can also stand for that type of music.
Goth is more like, they like death and things related to death. Um... The 'dress in black' and uh... I don't really know much. I was probably wrong about a lot of things, but I sort of think both goth and emo are just stereotypes, and mean See More completely different things. I don't know ;;

Emos are broken, they feel hatred for themselves. So often they cast themselves away from everyone, trying to avoid most social interactions. They may wair black, but that is so they don't stand out, they are usually very emotional, that's what Emo stands for...right.

Goths, tend to love darker, stuff like Halloween and the death related things. I think (I don't know goths aswell as emos) they like the cemetery and things related with death. They don't seem See More to have depression (like emos) but they don't really enjoy life eather.

Emo's express themselves in many ways and they dont wear black all the time they have a punk rock thing gothic just like to wear dark things and are quiet and dont express themselves

I'm emo 13 and I say they are the same they are a little different but not much goth thing there cool because they drink coffee and smoke emo's are emotional witch means they get emotional real easy
