Why are CAPITALS considered bad?? i don't get it. its not like i am going to capitalize everything, and on one of my quizzes someone commented that they didn't like caps, but the only caps were the beginning of each question... so CONFUSED! :$

Capital letters are used as a form of shouting. IF I START TYPING LIKE THIS IN A RANDOM CONVERSATION, you might think I'm raising my voice. You see, you're putting diction on the letters when you capitalize them, just like you would when you yell in a conversation. It's kind-of like when you typeallofyourletterswithoutspaces. That's if you want to talk really fast.

Hi Leigh07! We cannot consider THE CAPITALS as bad, but a lot of people find the sentences or paragraphs written in capitals as extremely difficult to read. The Capital Letters are manly used for abbreviations and acronyms, headings, titles of articles, books...

Basically, it's considered as shouting over the internet but in actual english classes as long as you have them in the right places then they're not considered bad at all.

I have this wierd thing where if im talking to someone via email then if im angry the i type really hard and think they know im angry at them

Well, it has to do with Computer science. All of the answers below are WRONG (In a technical sense). In the character encoding (binary used for characters such as 1101101) capital letters use larger binary numbers, creating more lag on a network. Caps letters are larger in memory than small ones. Since sites want users to have quick load times (it makes users happy), they put down capital letters.

Lol, I don't know. Probably because people think it's too much LIKE YELLING. I USE IT WHEN I'M BEING A FANGIRL OR YELLING OUT, SO I GUESS THAT'S WHAT IT'S FOR. I really don't think it matters.
