Otters are endangered because of their soft coat. It is one of the softest furs in the world. Also because of habitat and envirmental issues. Poor things :(

Otters are endangered due to global environmental problems, which means that otters swim in waters where there are harmful substances such as oil. If a bit of substance sticks to the hair of otters they enter in hypothermia or if they drink contaminated water they can die. This happens since 1989. :)
