MLP: Comic Series or TV Series

I have read only one comic, but I still chose them over the TV series.
The comics are able to be taken anywhere and allow you to go at your own pace, which is practical, but they do cost money, which is not.
Not saying I would spend that much money on them, but they do appeal to me more than the TV series.

Honestly, I prefer the comics. It has a lot more action, but I LOVE seeing characters come to life.
I don't watch TV often either. So comics I guess?
