Story writing tips for -Adventure- Genre
-You should have a goal for your characters set at the end of your story before you begin writing. A good tactic is to plot backwards
-establish a plot that is unique to your own story. Be unique and creative
-Don't make your characters break the laws of physics/ previously set rules unless there is a reason it can happen.
- A hero/heroine is only as unique as his/her limitations
- your characters are like geodes, If you want to see what See More your characters are made of, break them
-If you add romance DO NOT stop the progression of the main story for it. It can take away from the story, and overall just makes it seem forced in. ((spoiler)the fifth wave when the guy stops IN THE MIDDLE OF A RESCUE to tell the girl he loves her -_-)
- you can add romance, just make sure it agrees with the story line.
- have diverse characters, having a team that can cover somewhat boffo each others weakness is better than having a full tea of the same personality.
- the better the character, the more of an impact they will have on the main character if they die/change allegence.and will have their choices respected a bit more.
- teams and friends have conflict, too
- Love triangles differ in gender/sexuality, if it's two boys over one girl, make it a bit more comical, two girls for one boy, make it a bit more competitive, etc.
-don't put in inside jokes that are only known by a couple friends of yours, this takes away from the story.
This is just a collection of advice I've received over the years, feel free to rate.

Story ideas:
Anonymous-:a story where the main characters race, gender, and other details are unknown. Sending the message "anyone could be a hero"
Silver Lining: A story about a schizophrenic detective who's disability helps him solve cases, sending the message "imperfections make you who you are"
I have more but this is all I can think of for now, I'm posting so I don't forget these for later.

Studies show that if you want someone to look at something they're more likely to look at it if you post a link instead of making them look it up, as human nature tends to try and get us away from doing work
