Alright, I promised myself I wasn't going to rant but just some people.
Okay for one the reason why there are days dedicated to certain members of the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, etc...) is because the LGBT went through a lot of f'ucking trauma before and after our marriage was legalized, and we were finally able to be who we were with transitioning into our true self. Reason's why there is no straight day it's because every day you're able to be yourself and not be ridiculed for loving See More someone of the same sex or being a transgender male/female, and of course, I can't forget nonbinary. "There is no month for the veterans, why do the LGBTQ+ get a whole month but the veterans don't" bitch, they do. Go back to f'ucking history class, I learned about that a long ass time ago.
The reason there are days and months dedicated to certain communities is because they f'ucking deserve it! They f'ucking deserve it! The LGBTQ+ didn't fight for a day to be added to a goddamn calendar so we could be acknowledged once, no they fought because they wanted to be themselves and we STILL fight to be ourselves. We're raped because we're gay, we are beat because we're gay, we're murdered because we're gay and what do you get? Everything. Some of us lose our f'ucking jobs (which is actually illegal in most places now) for being gay. There is a black history month because they suffered and they f'ucking deserve a full month because of what they went through what they're still going through. Discrimination needs to f'ucking stop, racism needs to f'ucking stop, homophobia needs to f'ucking stop! We are members of a f'ucking community that shouldn't be afraid of your ignorant asses because you despise us because we're different. There are reasons for appreciation days, get off your arrogant ass and educate yourself before you open up your mouth.
If I have to I'll list all the appreciation days, months, etc... also this rant isn't just about the LGBT+ it's about all minority groups out there who have to deal with this bullshit.
