Clara had always felt alone and like an outcast until she met Jaycee. Now she was gone and dead. Clara couldn’t believe it. Her mind fluttered to her last memory of Jaycee; They were walking down the sidewalk the day after 8th grade got out just to weeks ago. Jaycee bumped into Clara and she giggled.
“Stop it”, she said still laughing
Clara smiled. Jaycees hair was in a pony tail. She had such beautiful blonde hair Clara was jelous she always wanted blonde hair but instead she had boring brown hair. Jaycee bent over.
“I found a flower”, she said.
Clara leaned in to stiff it at the same time Jaycee did theirs noses touched and they looked at each other.
Fresh tears were in Clara’s eyes
They looked up at each other and before Clara new what was happening they were kissing.
At the time the only concern Clara had was coming out to her parents not that Jaycee would be . she gulped. dead. Her mom knocked.
"Come in", Clara managed to croak out.
Her mom had a tray with a coke (Clara's favorite soda) and Annie's macaroni.
"I know what your going to say but I've made you an appointment with a therapist", Clara's mom said.
"What. No. Mom I will be better. It's perfectly normal to be upset when your best friend dies"' clara sobbed.
"I know it is", she patted Clara's head "I think it will help to talk to someone"
clara knew she hadn't won she would have to see this therapist.
Her mom hugged her and left. She shut the door but didn't lock it.
