The Classic Trick ("Fainting" After Fainting)
Talia’s POVAfter Ciel got out, I poked Summer’s cheek to see if she would wake up. She didn’t. I sighed.
Waking her up at 6:00 this morning had probably been a bad idea. That reminds me…she never told me about her dream.
That gives me an idea. What if, I got to “accidentally” let Sebastian and Ciel hear when she explained it to me. I’ll just call them to my room on false pretenses, and let her explain as they’re walking up.
And as backup, I’ll record it…on my phone. Oh, I WAS evil...Hehehehe…
Summer’s POV
--Dream—
I was walking through a maze of halls. I eventually came to a crossroads. On the left, there was a picture of Sebastian. And on the right, a picture of Ciel.
I was confused, not knowing where to go.
I started to go left, but then decided that maybe I wanted to go right. I couldn’t decide!
“Don’t you know who you would choose?” Two voices said simultaneously behind me. I turned around, seeing Ciel and Sebastian.
I shook my head.
“What do you mean, choose? I just want to get out of this maze!” They grinned and spoke in unison.
“But this maze…it’s your heart, Summer.”
My eyes widened and I backed away from them. They didn’t follow me, but their faces turned from grins to utter sadness.
“Don’t you love us Summer?” I froze, not knowing what to do. I heard another, more familiar voice behind me.
“The reason we came here was so that you could help one of them, Summer. I’m here to help and to choose whomever you discard. You have to pick one, Summer. Not picking anyone could lead everything down the wrong path. Pick right.” I turned around to be face-to-face with Talia.
“Tali? Why are you here?”
She shook her head and said, “Wake up Summer. You have to wake up.” Everyone joined in.
“WAKE UP SUMMER!”
“WAKE UP!!!”
--End of Dream—
“GAH!” I got up hurriedly, effectively bonking my forehead on Talia’s face.
“Owwwww...” We both said, rubbing our injuries. She gave me a glare. Then she got an evil smirk on her face. Uh-oh. I paled. What was it now? I gave her a slightly fearful look. “What do you want, Talia?”
Her smirk spread creepily. She sang, “Don’t forget to tell me about your dream this morning!”
If possible, my skin became paler than it already was.
Knowing her, she’d probably find a way to spread what I say to Sebastian and Ciel. I am not proud of what I did next.
I faked fainting.
