Scenario #3 [Mello x Theo]
Synopsis: Meliodas encounters Theodore whilst the Angel is tending to the flowers. He decides to perform a rather sweet gesture. Theo is surprised. The angel hummed to himself as he watered the bed of roses, a relaxed smile on his face. The atmosphere was tranquil, but the angel tensed as a dark, too dark, shadow darted by.
"Who's there?" He called out, wary. There was silence as Theo waved his hand, a barrage of razor sharp feathers behind him, as white as snow, appeared ready to launch at his slightest move.
The shadow laughed, a deep chuckle of amusement.
"Now, now, there's no need to be so antsy, Theo, dear. Can't a friend come to visit?" A being solidified, appearing from the shadows. Meliodas. The demon wore a smug smirk, hands swinging by his side as his legs dangled in front of him from the tree branch he sat on.
"A...pleasure, did you need something?" Theo asked, doing his best to calm as he dismissed the feathers and stilled his racing heart.
"Why, do you think I only come to you whenever I need a favour?" Mello exclaimed, holding a hand to where his heart would be in mock hurt.
"Because you do?" Theo responded, tilting his head.
Mello let out an overdramatic gasp. "That one actually almost hurt. I’m so proud,” he wiped away a mock tear, “nevertheless, enough theatrics. There's no tricks this time," he was interrupted by the angel.
"My apologies, but somehow I find that hard to believe."
"Do you really think so little of me?" The sly demon asked, tilting his head in pure curiosity. The silence was all the answer he needed. Snapping his fingers, he appeared next to Theo. "I'll overlook it this time, what're you doing?"
"I'm watering the flowers," came Theo's simple reply.
"Oh? So you like gardening? Then you know a lot about flowers?" The demon probed.
"...You could say that," the angel replied with a furrowed brow. Just where was Mello going with this?
"Then what do magenta zinnia mean?"
"Lasting affection," Theodore recited as Mello asked another question.
"Blue violets?"
"Watchfulness, faithfulness and I'll always be there" Theo trailed off as Mello wasted no time.
"And finally, what about white chrysanthemum?"
"Truth...Why are you asking all of this?"
Theo finally asked. There was a twinkle of knowing in the demon's eye as Mello waved it off. "Oh, no reason. I'll see you around."
To say Theodore was pleasantly surprised upon seeing a colourful bouquet of magenta zinnia, blue violets and white chrysanthemum appear on his doorstep the morning after, was an understatement.
The gift had no name card, but the angel knew who it was from. The gesture was sweet, heartwarming even, and he couldn't stop smiling all day. Who'd have thought the demon was such a romantic? (When asked, Meliodas would vehemently deny any such action.)
