Chapter 1

There ahead of me stood the grandest building in all of Musutafu, Japan.  U.A  High School is only  the best high school for heroes in training. To be accepted you first must have a quirk. Everyone has a quirk, it has been that way ever since the “Golden Child was born” no one really remembers when that was. Very few people are born quirkless.  Most people are born with their quirks and they manifest when they're in Preschool or Kindergarten. Most people will learn to control their quirk within the next few years, So they know that they want to attend U.A High. If you're born quirkless though you go to a basic high school, to learn how to survive in a world full of heroes and villains. I’m Aki Yui, 17 years old with red hair and red eyes. I have a small white horn on the right side of my head. Other than my horn I’m quirkless, or at least I was until a few days ago.  A few days ago, I was just a boring student at survival high school, ( yep that’s what it’s called.) A nobody just trying to get by. It started out as  just another boring average day, just like any other. I got up and got ready for school, had a simple breakfast of toast with strawberry jam. I left home and started my long walk to school. When I realized I had forgotten my bag, I would normally just go on anyway except I had to have my essay. I had to give a report on how to avoid danger and stay out of the hero's way. So I ran back home to get it, but I didn’t make it. I was in such a hurry that I didn't notice the were-spider that had been following me.  When all of a sudden the were-spider reached out and grabbed me. I dragged me down and pulled me into an ally. Where it bite me. At first I was scared and confused as to what was going on, then I felt it bite me and I blacked out. When I came to I saw what I thought was a child, but then I noticed the legs, there were eight of them
