Chapter 5
Rick ran for his life from the giant black snarling dog behind him, its jaws barely missing Rick's thin tail. Rick ran into a wall, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, as the dog hemmed him in...The dog leaped onto Rick, who unsheathed his claws and scratched furiously at thin air, hoping to catch flesh, he was rewarded when his claws came in contact with the dogs cold wet nose, it helped and stepped back, rubbing its nose with a paw, but this only seemed to anger it more, since it snarled louder and more menacing then Rick ever heard in his entire kitty life, it pounced, its jaws closing on Rick's little neck, deeper and deeper...
A blood-curling screech was heard, followed by a bone crunching crack, Rick fell on his front paws, then on the ground, his neck bleeding out, the world was spinning, his vision blurred, all sounds dulled out, he lost all sense of touch and smell, his eyes rolled back, life flashing before his eyes, and the world went dark.
