Chapter 2: Lockdown

The sound of a hardy laugh echoed through the decently sized room as a girl who I had never seen before walked over to us with an extra spring in her step. She adorned brown and red. House Skarnus, these guys have the heightened senses, meaning they do what the average person can't like dodge bullets and stuff. Not as fast as someone from House Draft but still hard to sneak up on and kill.
She wore brown cargo pants, a belt with a whip at her side, a red short sleeved V-neck, and two bracelets, one on each wrist. Her long brown hair and brown eyes gave her more of a rugged appearance as she moved past me over to the others.
She looked at the snake around Brandon's arm quickly before moving her eyes up to DJ. "Nice to see you again," the girl said. "All of you again." "Great to see you back from training," DJ said. Even without his ability his voice is strangely hypnotic on its own. "Hi Hailey," Alexis cut in, giving a small wave. Another girl and boy came in dressed in different colors. A girl with neon green and silver and a boy in white and dark green. I didn't recognize the girl but I did recognize the boy as Dalton of House Grazen. Vines curled their ways around his green pants and onto his shoulders. I stared at the thorns, amazed that he wasn't bleeding by how sharp they looked. The girl wore glasses with some chip attached to them.
I recognized her house colors, House Compturas, hackers, these guys have the power to mess with electronics, not the strongest but it does come in useful. She messed around with a phone she had, moving her eyes slightly as it did something on the screen at her command. She looked kinda nervous around all the people and went over to Alexis who smiled at her. "Dalton, Erika," Hailey said smiling at the two. Erika waved and Dalton smiled, perfect teeth all white and glimmering against the harsh lights above us. He created 2 flowers, pink roses without thorns and gave one to Hailey and the other to Alexis. Both girls smiled putting the flowers behind their ears. "Who's that?" Hailey asked, finally pointing to me. "I am Hadandra," I said.
Brandon shrugged. "She's just a servant." "Oh, a normy." Erika finally spoke, looking up from her phone. Alexis and DJ nodded. Hailey smiled at me and I returned the gesture. A hard force knocked me on my side as the door slammed open. Looking towards the door were adults dressed in different house colors, all matching the teens in the room and even more. Right next to Brandon's parents were a tiger by his mother and by his father was a wolf with a scar running from the left side of its mouth down to its stomach. Alexis' dad looked surprisingly muscular and if I didn't know his daughter or house colors, I'd assume that he was someone with super strength. "They want to see us," Alexis finally said, taking her dads hand as all the teens left the room with their parents. As soon as they left, I got to my feet and scurried away to work.
