THE BEGINNING
It’s midnight and all seems quiet, maybe too quiet. I hear rustlings in the tree and the tall grass behind me. The cold crisp air is giving me chills down my spine, making me more alert. I wrapped my cloak more tighter around me, making sure my hood is hiding my face. As I weave through the trees, making no sound, I stop at a willow tree. It’s leaves hides a carving of a flame on it’s trunk. I look around if anyone is following me, and raise my hand. Just then, I hear a growl and dodge something that was coming at me. I quickly pull out of dagger from behind me, and crouch to the ground in instinct. The figure looks at me and smiles. I give out a breath of relieve and stand up, letting my dagger disappear in a single black flame. It was my friend, Full Moon, who was trying to scare me. I wave to him, a signal that i use to tell him come over here. He then follows, leaving paw prints on the dirt as he comes closer. I raise my hand in front of the carving, and the carving turns black. It then opens to a room so dark, that you thought it was death. I then go into it, leaving Full Moon to follow. The door fades back into place, leaving us in the dark.I tell FM that I want to take a nap, just to get rid of the feeling. “I will stay up and guard the tree. You need to go to sleep, alright,” he said in a protective voice. “Okay, thanks,” I answered. The next morning, we get ready for school. I still can’t think straight, I don’t know why. Instead I just shook off the feeling, and suggest an idea, mostly because we are almost late for school. “I’ll race you,” I said to FM. “No teleporting then,” he told me. I hitched my backpack on my back, seeing that he did too. “Ready, set, go,” we both exclaimed. He took off speeding through the forest, turning into that nice wolf I care about. I put on my hood and smile, unfurl my wings and take off into the morning air. I fly through the clouds, keeping my eyes out for FM and my surroundings. I then land quietly on the ground, just as FM ran through the gates of the school. Then, I see a picture hidden in the grass. It shows a person becoming insane, but I ignore it. He sees me and I smile, both of us going to class.
I can’t think straight, I can’t feel anything. There are voices inside me saying “you can’t run away,” and it’s getting louder. Why does she keep on saying mean things about me, what is going on. I am in the girl’s bathroom, in the last stall. I can’t do this no more, I have to leave. I get out of the stall, staring at the mirror in front of me. I see a shadowed figure next to me, and it looks like… me. I quickly put me hood up and wrap my cloak tightly around me. I head for the door and look around the halls. “Nobody’s here, I need to leave. I can’t hurt anybody. Just be quiet!” I say as I sink to the floor. I can’t stay here… I run to the doors, leaving only echoing sounds in the hallways.
