Chapter Six
Stonepaw shivered as the winds hit him, he was heading towards the gathering. Something seemed as if a big thing was going to happen, and Stonepaw was right."Amberleaf?" Stonepaw called to his mentor. "Yes?" Amberleaf was padding beside him. "Don't you feel like something's going to happen, special?" Stonepaw asked. "Of course not! It's just a gathering" Amberleaf responded, barley paying attention to him. "Oh, ok. I just..." Stonepaw couldn't find the words, so added, "never mind".
When they arrived at Broken Trees(Gathering place) Flame Clan and Cloud Clan were there. Adderstar, leader of Flame Clan, greeted them with a grunt. Skystar, leader of Cloud Clan, bowed his head as they passed. Amberleaf rushed towards the other medicine cats, but before Stonepaw could follow a crowd of cats blocked his way.
'There's no way I'll get through that crowd' Stonepaw thought. Before he could walk away, a cat crashed into him. When he looked up he saw a black she-cat, with golden eyes. "I'm so sorry! I can be a klutz!" the she-cat meowed, "my name's Nightpaw!" "Nice to meet you. I'm Stonepaw" Stonepaw smiled, Nightpaw had sleek fur and soft pads. "So, who's your mentor?" Nightpaw asked, "mine is Iceclaw!". "My mentor is Amberleaf, she's a medicine cat" Stonepaw responded. "Your a Medicine cat in training! How cool!" she smiled, making Stonepaw feel proud. A yowl rose up at the High Stone, the leaders were ready to start.
"Wait one more thing, what clan are you in?" Nightpaw asked, "I'm Frost Clan". "Forest Clan" Stonepaw whispered into her ear. Her eyes gleamed, her breathing was fast. "Meet me here tomorrow" Nightpaw whispered to him, and then shot off. Stonepaw's eyes widen, she loved him and he loved her!
