Ways to Say Goodbye

This is a story about a girl named Victoria. Her parents are divorced, so she lives with her mom in Oakville. When Victoria finds out her mom is dating Tom, a person that she works with, she feels so angry. This is ruining her plan to get her parents back together! After Tom proposes, Victoria learns that she'll have to move to Vancouver with her new dad and new siblings, Abby and Matt. Victoria has to go to a new school, make new friends and live in a new house and town. And she's dealing with mortal enemies, a crush and a totally new family. On top of all that, her new dad leaves a note that she doesn't completely understand...

Embarrassed

5th Period Science, 12:20 pm, Friday, December 4th, 2015

"Victoria, you know that you're not supposed to have phones out during class," said Mrs. Peterson. "I'm sorry," I said, looking sheepish. "Well, I 'd like you to read the text message out loud to the class," said my teacher. I froze. This was not happening right now. "Victoria, we're waiting," she said, looking annoyed. "Ok..." I said, as I stood up and walked to the front of the room. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I started to read the text out loud.

I had a stupid look on my face after I finished and I could hear some people snickering. It kinda made me feel embarrassed. "Ok now I will take your phone and you will get it back at the end of the day," my teacher said as she took my phone.
"Oh and by the way, I don't think your little friend will be able to join you tonight, because you'll be in detention."
I slouched back to my desk and sat down. This is the worst time for this to happen because now I can't see if Sam replied back to me.
