I Hope They'll Understand
"Hi guys," I said as i sat at our usual lunch table. "Hey, Victoria," they said. "Do you wanna come to Emily's today to see our powerpoint that we made for art? It looks really good so far," said Samantha. "Sure," i said. They had been telling me about their powerpoint ever since they found out about the project. I couldn't wait to see it.As i walked into my house after school, my mom was in the kitchen. "Hi, mom," i said. "Hi, Victoria. I forgot to tell you that i have a hockey game tonight. I was going to text you but i had to take my phone into the shop because it hasn't been working for a few days," she said. "Wait, i have a game? But i wanted to go over to Emily's and see their powerpoint for art. They've been talking about it for days and i really want to see it," i complained. "Well, I'm sorry, but you're just going to have to see it another day," my mom said. Ugh... Ever since the divorce, i've been so busy, i barely have any time to do my homework. I've had to go somewhere almost every day. My mom signed me up for piano because she wanted me to play an instrument. So twice a week, i have to drive 15 minutes in a car just to go to piano lessons for half an hour. I also have hockey at least 3 times a week, sometimes more, and sometimes my mom drags me off somewhere with her without even telling me.
I really hope my friends will understand.
