Chapter 3 ~ Shadow

*Milea's POV*


I look at the ceiling in silence. After returning to the ruins, we went to see if there were casualties. I apologized to all the people I met, they all looked at me quizzically.
I feel guilty.
I just land here without any memories, and I already exploded miles of forest. I wonder whatthe  others think of me.
Amy, Blaze and Cream are in Amy's room and talk. They forbidded me to come see them for anything... And the boys ... I try not to meet them. That's how I found myself staring at the ceiling, sitting on the couch.

Shadow: What are you doing?

I jump a little and pick up my eyes to the ceiling. I've never heard of Shadow into the living room ...

Milea: Hum... *takes a pillow and begins to twist* R-Nothing ...

I admit that Shadow makes me a little scared. He has something disturbing... And he's not able to laugh without forcing (at least, that's what I think).

Shadow: Except for staring the ceiling and twist a pillow... You're killing it.

I look at the pillow and I blush. I never noticed that I twisted the pillow (either). Perhaps because of stress...

Milea * blush *: I-I didn't know you w-were protecting the pillows ...

Shadow fix at me for long before starting to laugh. My heart jumped in my chest, I almost had a heart attack. His laughter is not forced at all, he laughs at me. I don't know why but I started to giggle a little. Shadow sits on the couch and stares at the ceiling.

Shadow: Why were you looking at the ceiling?
Milea: I-I thought...

He turns his head and looks at me seriously. I feel even more ashamed.

Shadow: In what?
Milea: In w-what has happened to the r-ruins ...
Shadow: Okay.

He continues to look at the ceiling. I feel a little more comfortable with him, but not totally. I'm always stressed when he looks at me... And it's not love. Shadow sighs and lowers his head. He stares the wall now. Exciting.

Shadow: You told me you don't remember anything
Milea: Yes ...
Shadow: So you do not know what's that.

He points to the TV with the tip of his finger.

Milea: It's a TV. I don't remember my past, that's all.
Shadow: Do you remember when you woke up?
Milea: I was in ruins, and Silver stared at me.
Shadow: Yes I know, but... Do you remember anything before you wake up for real?
Milea: I was in the dark ... I saw a gray light approach, and the light was speaking. It told me to wake up ... So I touched the light and I found myself in the ruins.

It does not interest him. He just wants to show me that he is able to socialize... I turn to Shadow and see his face expression. He's interested.

Milea: You're interested?
Shadow: Hmm... *blushes and turns to the television screen* No. Don't think that I had something tragic in my life too...

I desperately look at him.

Milea: I may have lost my memory but I'm not stupid ... T_T

Shadow sighs and closes his eyes a few seconds before opening them.

Shadow: I'll explain later. I have to go now.

Shadow gets up and walks to the door that leads outside. He pulls out and shut the door violently. I sigh and continue staring at the ceiling and think. I think so hard that I fall asleep.

Amy: Milea! Milea!
Blaze: I told you it was too long!
Cream: Miss Milea?

I wake up surrounded by Amy, Blaze and Cream.

Milea: What?
Blaze: I think it's stupid but ... Amy has great news for you.
Milea: What?
Cream: You'll have to come with us, Miss Milea!
Milea: Okay ...
Amy: Oh, but wait! You have to put this before!

Amy comes out dark pink scarf from her pocket.

Milea: A scarf? In summer?
Amy: No! You have to cover your eyes!
Milea: Ah ... Ok!

I take the scarf and Blaze attaches it around my head.

Amy: I will guide you!
Milea: What?
Blaze: I don't think she trusts you ...
Amy: What? But I'm quite trustworthy!
Blaze: Not in these times.
Amy: Ow... Okay, you can guide her...

I feel the hands of Blaze arise in my back. After (hard) mounted the stairs, Blaze tells me to stop. I hear whispers and giggles before Amy opens a door and say (too strongly) to people to be quiet. I can't help but smile.

Amy: It's okay Blaze!

Blaze pushes me forward.

Milea: I have the impression that we kidnapped me!
Cream: It's a bit like that! ^^

I hear the sound of a door that opens and Blaze quickly takes away the scarf I was wearing on my head. After only a few seconds, I see lots of other female animals like me shout :
