Problems with society

Religon

Ok, sensative topic, but SOMEBODY has to talk about it. All of these are avoided usually, but it'll be ok.

So, I failed as a christian probably- because over half the religons in the world are supposed to convert people or youre going to hell-underworld-whatever negative thing you have. If christians are supposed to do that, I've FAILED.

So, 3 main ones: muslems, christians and jews. They've been fighting for a VERRY long time, over differences in religon. Even then, Christians are battling over thier OWN religous differences, and I'm not sure about others, but they do probably.

Lets start with my own religon, Christianity. We've been resorting to violence, and hatred.
Ok, alot of things are going to come out WRONG AND KINDA CONTRADICTIARY TO THE BIBLE. Just a warning.

Some things are probably put in there to envoke more followers (well at the time it was written). End of the world? Preacher wants more people, just have to say the words "the end is near".

Some things like "being homosexual is a sin" is only in the old testament, and a lot of it is just basic teachings. Love your neighbor, be respectful, worship God, basically the 10 commandments are really the only things I believe should be learned in the Old Testament. Really, from there, it's just how they got to where they were and stuff to teach and reinforce.

Because Christianity is the only religon I know EXTREMELY well, I'll just lay this out:

One, stop making accusations over religon. Just because someone's a muslem doesnt mean theyre a terrorist, Jews arent greedy (usually), atheists arent evil, christians aren't perfect, so stop believing it.

Two, its basically all the same: Good, judgment and evil. Just different rules.

Three, BE NICE IF YOU BELIEVE TO SPREAD YOUR RELIGON. You dont have to be a jerk about it.

Now, I'd like to apologize now and for the rest of the rants if you're offended by ANY of these. Personal opinions, NOT factual.
