Harmindy High School
The bright light of my laptop shines into my tired, sore eyes. Mum told me that if I want to go to a real high school I have to find it myself. So far all the schools are either too expensive or have bad reviews. I look at the newspaper lying as dead as road kill on my desk. Mum likes me to read the newspaper since we never leave the house. Suddenly the article on the front catches my eye,'Harmindy High School, best affordable school award winner. I feel like i'm in a fairy tale. My fingers are typing in H A R.... Before I know what I'm doing. Sure enough my fairy tale continues. There it is.
...
I wake up knowing I have to do something today. But what? It must have something to do with why I set my alarm for 7 o'clock and not 10. Then it hits me like a bullet. I slap my hand across my forehead. How on earth could I forget? School! Last night mum and I signed up and I start today. I walk down the hall in my light blue bunny slippers, jade green long t-shirt and my pyjama pants with shapes printed on the black fabric. I smooth my long blonde hair which I inherited from my father as well as my blue eyes and pale skin.
I dive into my cereal like it's a deer and I'm a hungry cheetah. I want to leave the house as soon as possible. I finish quickly. I race back down thaw hall to find something suitable to wear. I find my yellow and black dress and quickly slip into it. Then I brush my hair, grab my lunch, stuff it in my new bag and leave.
