Not Enough Money

The next day, as I was heading out the door, my mom asked,
"Where are you going?"
"To get Stormy back", I said. "There's a horse race today, and I'm going to see if Stormy's there."
"Well the person that has Stormy isn't going to give her back for free.
They paid for the horse, so they're going to want you to pay to get her back."
"Wow, I didn't even think about that! How much did they give you to keep Stormy?"
"They gave me $20", Mom said. "You can ask Mrs. Greene if she has chores you could do."
Mrs. Greene is our next door neighbor. So I headed out to her house.
