WHAT. THE. HADES.
I have to get over this. I have to.I'm still stuck here. Nothing's changed. I have to forget Leo.
If I don't, I will break.
He can't come back. He can't save me. No one can.
I'm stuck here for eternity. I just have to get over it.
I know that I can now. Because I will never fall in love with anyone the way I did Leo.
I take a deep breath and withhold a sob. I'm tired of crying.
I'm SO over this.
---
Time passes. I don't know how long it's been in the mortal world -- maybe a few minutes, maybe a millenium.
I've learned how to cook. I've woven enough fireproof cloth to last someone a lifetime. I've started experimenting with Greek-modern clothes combos. I've started tinkering with random metal pieces I find stranded across the island. I've built myself a miniature dragon. I've named it Festus II.
I glance around the beach. Even without meaning to, I sometimes find myself looking around, as if Leo has somehow defied the laws of the island and come back.
I shake my head. That's stupid. Impossible. I shouldn't be getting my hopes up.
---
I kick a stone, and it skitters across the beach. I kick at another, and it follows suit.
I look up to the sound of footsteps.
My jaw practically unhinges. "J-Jake?"
He smiles and takes another step forward. "Yeah."
"But you... B-but... You..."
"No. I survived." He reaches for my hand, but I jerk away.
A hundred thoughts zoom through my head all at once. The way that his body had vanished. I'd assumed that the invisible servants had buried him, but they'd never done anything other than clean and cook before.
"No." I shake my head. "You-- you tricked me. Why?"
He blows a strand of hair out of his face. "Because I didn't trust you, Calypso." I flinch at how casually he uses my name. He leans forward. "Now get me off of this island."

But I have so much to say to you!
But seriously, don't doubt your writing skills.
well I can tell you you are pretty fast in writing it, already chapter 11, pretty fast. I hope to read it to the end and if you ever need a basis for another story, message me X3
are you a good story-writer on your own? I'm pretty bad on my own cause I can only imagine a basis, and after a few minutes of writing I get bored of it...
but still, success with continuing the story ^-^
