9/3/14
Well, today was a B day so different classes. Basically, A days are chill days and B days are harder. The thing that makes it all worth it though is DRAMA! I know for those of you who aren't interested in Drama are just like UGH THOSE DRAMA KIDS UGH but for us "Drama kids," DRAMA IS LIFE. Anyways, I did have my first friend pressure today. I was hanging with Izzy (fake name) and Marge (again fake) because they aer in my homeroom and we walk to our first classes together. We had our Freshmen meeting so we were all headed to there when I ran into my lunch buddy, Anna (guess what? IT'S A FAKE NAME.). She was with a couple girls I had talked to before so they asked me to sit with them. I was flattered but I had told Izzy and Marge I'd sit with them so I had to sit with them but I felt sooo bad! Anyhow, at the meeting, they presented the candidates for school president. First off, I commend all those brave enough to run for one of those spots Freshmen year but some of the speeches were o.O to be nice... BUT there was one standout! His name is Jack (OMG IT'S HIS REAL NAME JK IT'S NOT). He SANG. No joke, this guy had the guts to SING in front of the ENTIRE Freshmen year. He sang a version of "I Can Show You the World" from Aladdin but it had lyrics representing what he planned to do as president. Everyone LOVED it. I give him props. A kid for vice president did something similar so I guess we already know our Pres and VP.Anyways what you've all been waiting for: NOT but I'm doing it anyways:
Algebra 2~ This was the first class I knew I learned something last year and just COMPLETELY forgot EVERYTHING. I mean I could tell I knew it, it just wouldn't come! Also, first homework assignment UGGGGGGGGGGH.
Drama~ Ok, this is going to be LONG so prepare yourselves. DRAMA IS AWESOME. So, first off, I have like no friends in there except for one I made today but this class was so good I didn't even care! Our teacher is THE BEST. We'll call her Mrs. G. So apparently we are supposed to do a year of Theatre History and have textbooks and tests but Mrs. G decided not to!!! How great is that?! There are no notes, no quizzes, no tests, it's an easy A, and literally the most fun I have ever had. We practiced screaming and falling after going over all the basics and information which was HILARIOUS. Some people came by to see if we were ok xD There was only one boy in our class and he was like in no man's land. He was surprised every tune he was called on and I'm pretty sure he didn't want to be there. Besides him, everyone was seriously into it and I bet a lot of us will be friends soon enough. I'll stop here for now but trust me there will be more!!!
Pre-AP World History and Geography~ The teacher was hell-bent on scaring us about AP World History last year. I mean half of the time she spent was threatening us on work load and next year. It was--- terrifying. Other than that we did some fun icebreakers and I met some interesting people.
Lunch~ So Lunch on B days are smack dab in the middle of Geo/ History. Luckily, Izzy is there with me so we can sit together and she has a group of friends I know and can sit with so lucky me! I did better with speaking up a bit so I think I'm starting to integrate myself a little more in that group.
French 3~ So, this was the class I am most worried about but not for the reason you think. Probably, the exact opposite. We started out doing basic exercises and some review and I just assumed our teacher was easing us in. We did some random work then she handed out the syllabus. This is what I'm worried about. Almost everything on the syllabus I ALREADY KNEW. Now, I may have to suffer a transfer to another class... I don't know I'm going to talk to my teacher...
So, that was my basic class stuff. Other random things would be Homecoming dance is Sept. 27! OMG I AM SO STRESSED. Like, I want to go REALLY badly but I don't know if any of my friends are going to be there and the whole boy/ girl thing >~< I haven't even thought about boys really because I've been so focused. Yes, I am a HUGE nerd. I might ask Oliver but I doubt he'd want to go with me if he's even allowed (something about his religion holding him back). Bus rides are interesting. I made a good friend that I ride with and that's a HUGE help. Of course, there is SO SO SO much more I have to tell you but you and I don't have all day.
Alright! Good luck, my friends! ~ Elizabeth Dym <3
