The Only Good Kind Of Trouble

The Only Good Kind Of Trouble

Meet Jaden Antonio Smith. But just call her Jade for short. She's not like most girls. For one she's a tomboy, she loves rock music, she is obsessed with poetry, and beat anybody on any game. She's not a rebel really, the only bad thing she ever did was lie to her sister about using her toothbrush. She has straight black hair, hazel eyes, and a beautiful smile. When you see her you might see happiness, but inside she's broken. Her parents died when she was three years old, so now she's living with her cousin Regina and her kids out in Hemet, California. She meets a boy her age named Axel. He's every girl's dream. Sweet, romantic, charming, has gorgeous eyes, and is reliable. But the only drawback is that he's a bad boy.

The Bedroom- Jaden's P.O.V.

I kept my eyes focused on this blank sheet of paper. Tears rolled down my cheek as I imagined the difficult relationship my sister was in. What if they turn out to be like mom and dad? Then that's when she came into my room all happy like. "Guess what!" she asks me while jumping up and down.

"What?"

"He kissed me." My mouth drops open in surprise.

"Him? He kissed you?"

"Yep." she blushes.

"Wow," I never thought that jerk was that capable of wooing over Sarah again, but I was wrong. I never had a boyfriend ever in my life. Not even a secret one.

"Aren't you excited for me?"

"Yeah, well, um..Yes. I guess so." I shrug.

"Whatcha doin?" she says looking over my shoulders.

"I'm trying to think about what to put on this paper."

She laughs at me. "You're so boring," she teases.

"No i'm not!" I yell. Am I really that boring? "I just don't know, should I draw, or should I write?"

"No wonder you don't have a boyfriend." she says all surprised like. "It's because you scare them away, because of your boringness."

"Is that even a word?" I ask her. She shrugs.

"Go out and live, just for today!" she tells me. I felt inspired, but what in the heck was I going to do? She gasps. "Let's go to the mall!" I shake my head. Sarah knew I hated the mall. It was always crowded, and I wasn't that good with ordering stuff. "Okay fine, but we have to do something."

"Not today." I tell her.

"Okay, okay! Meet me after school tomorrow then. You're going to learn what 'fun' is." What does she mean by that? I wondered. I guess i'll find out. She shuts the door behind her and says "Tomorrow after school! Don't forget!" I laugh to myself as I stared at the paper once more, wondering what to do with it. So I ball the paper up and throw it in the garbage as I get ready for the next day. And to learn the meaning of 'fun' after school.
