I need you (Sonic X Jackie)

The sunlight shimmered onto the path and the people walking around outside. Meanwhile Jackie was inside, not that she minded of course. She chose to do this. After many years she had finally realised her mother was alive. She had loved her straight away, only to then watch her slowly die in front of her. Jackie couldn't take the sadness and locked herslef away from the evil outside world, maybe then it could not get to her. But the image of her poor mother was still implanted into her skull and she couldn't get rid of it.

Jackie's friends had been worried sick about her and always came to vist her. "Its going to be fine" "Are you okay?" "If you need anything just ask" Is what all Jackie had heared from them. She knows they were doing their best...but it wasn't good enough. So now she just ignored them and locked herself in her room. Sonic, her partner, has been mostly worried about her. Trying to be nice he makes her a cup of hot chocolate. He walks knockes on the door and walks into the room.
"Jackie? Hey, I made you this for you." He set the hot chocolate down on her bedside table. "Jackie?" She wasn't listening. She was to busy drying her tears.
"Hm? Oh thanks Sonic" Sonic looked at her with concern.
"Are you okay?" Jackie flinched at the over used sentence and grumbled.
"I'm fine"
"If there is anything Jackie, anything at all you need you can just ask" Jackie clenched her jaw and slowly grew angry.
"I know, its fine!"
"Everything will be fine after a while..." Jackie lost it. She stood up and turned to face Sonic who had a look of surprise on his face.
"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THIS ALREADY!? IF YOU JUST CAME TO BUG ME THEN GET OUT!" Sonic furrowed his eyebrows.
"Im just trying to help!"
"Then help me!"
"What do you want me to do?"
"Someting! Anything! My mother has just died Sonic, right in front of me! Now with out her i'm so alone..."
"Your not alone"
"Huh?" Jackie looked up at Sonic he had a small smile on his face.
"Your not alone, I'm here"
"..." Thats all Jackie needed. Instead of everyone just asking over and over again the question that did nothing. All she needed was some to be there for her. So she would be no longer alone. She burst outinto tears. Sonic sat on her bed and brought Jackie down to his lap. He cradled her while she sobbed into his chest.
"Its okay, your not alone anymore, i'm here, and I always will be" Jackie looked up at Sonic with big watering eyes.
"For...ever?"
"Forever and ever"
"Thank you..."
