The big Reveal
That was the day my world spun off it's axis. I never looked at the world the same way again. For about 3 reasons, actually. The first is that that was the day I realized my full potential as a Hybrid. Even to this day, three months later, I still involuntarily shiver at the label. Let me tell you what happened that day. After we were done in the alley, we went to his house. We sat down on his couch, well, I sat down, he paced in front of me, I sat down and he got me a coke and some popcorn, and we started talking about what he was doing in the alley. When he told me he was a vampire, I said,"Well, that was kind of obvious by the way you were sucking my friend's blood in that alley."
"Well, yeah, but I bet you don't know that you're a hybrid." He replied.
"Me. A what now! A hybrid? Are you out of your frigging mind? I can't even fully figure out how to be human, and now you're telling me that I'm a hybrid? You must be kidding!"
"Nope. Have you ever been threatened, and felt the sudden urge to hiss, or growl? Like that unnatural reaction to provocation, that you see in almost everyone, but don't really notice until it happens to you?"
"Well, yeah, but I thought that that was just a natural reaction!"
"Well, it's not. It's your hybrid, vampire and werewolf, blood, that's giving you that primal Instinct."
"What kinds of special abilities do being a hybrid give me? Like, do I get powers?" I gasp. "Do I get fangs, and claws? Can I turn into a bat at will? Do I turn into a werewolf on full moon nights? Do I have to drink blood, because that would be gross."
"You can do all those things. I'll have to teach you to hone your powers, since there's nobody else who can. Come to my house every day, except for Fridays, for an hour and I'll teach you everything you need to know to be a hybrid." He gave me this really creepy smile, then said, "After all, I am a Hybrid too." Then he gave me this really creepy laugh, and his eyes turned red, and with a battle cry that I didn't think could come from the throat of any living thing, except maybe a lion or a tiger, he leaped at me so fast, I didn't know how to react.
