Vows
Asher smiled to himself as Rett panicked, he kisses him softly. Trying not to chuckle at the blush across Rett’s face. He let him go and continued sipping at his beer. Rett wasn’t sure what had transpired. –Did he just kiss me?- He looked at Asher as he still sipped at his beer avoid eye contact with him. When Ash did look over, Rett felt the blush come back.Asher chuckled, “Chill out a bit. I’m not gonna do anything else if I got the wrong idea.” Rett, looked down. “Actually…” Ash’s eyebrow raised, waiting. “You weren’t really wrong…I just. I’ve never. Well I thought.” He was stumbling over his words. The sharp tongued Rett was flabbergasted over this. Ash was amused by this and gripped his shoulder. “Hey, you alright?” He got a nod from Rett, just before he look at him.
Rett dated on and off with girls and crushed/dated two guys, and it wasn’t like he never kissed a guy before. But this was unexpected, how long did he know?
Leaning over Ash wrapped his arm around his shoulders. “I’m not that objective of it. Yes I may seem straight and probably an asshole, but I admit…I check out a few guys.” Rett watched Asher scratch the back of his head, an embarrassed twitch of his. Rett took mental notes of that. “How long did you suspect?” Ash looked over, “of you?” He nodded in reply. “Well…it was hard since I wasn’t sure if you were friendly cause you were a loner…or you actually took a liking to me. But I figured it out near the end of the night.” Rett looked away a bit nervous. “So…what now?” Ash looked over at him, “what do you mean?” “Well, are we anything?” Ash sat back thinking about it for a second, “Sure. If Jer’s gotta problem with it, I’ll beat the hell out of him.” That made Rett smile, his heart did flutter at those words.
Rett leaned against the couch. “I wasn’t exactly the nicest to you. Not exactly the best way to start off.”
Ash smiled, “well, that doesn’t bother me anymore. I can put off asshole vibes too when I’m annoyed. You’ll have plenty of time to pick that up.” A little surprised Ash felt Rett slide across the couch and straddled him. “What are you up to-“He went to ask before being interrupted by Rett kissing him passionately. Taken by surprise, blush spread across his cheeks and Ash lost himself in the kiss. Pulling Rett close and returning the tender kiss.
Rett’s eyes glowed yellow when they opened for a second before sliding shut to concentrate and hold Ash’s face. His tongue flicked against Ash’s lips for permission. A gasp escape him, letting Rett in, flushing a deeper red feeling their tongues brush against each other for the first time. For a while their lips were locked as they enjoyed each other’s soft touches and moment of exploration for the first time. Ash pulled back trying to get some air, breathing a bit unevenly. “It’s…been a long time. Since I’ve had someone take my breath away like that.” He chuckled, watching Rett look at him tenderly. His eyebrow raised, “Oh? Just haven’t dated anyone worthy lately?” A grin broke across Ash’s face. Rett was back to his sarcastic deviousness again. “More like I wasn’t interested…Working.” Rett rolled his eyes replying, “Shucks, I was hoping you were gonna stroke my ego.”
Ash grinned and leaned forward whispering huskily in his ear, “There are more interesting things I could stroke.” He won that as Rett went scarlet in the face. “That’s a bit soon for me. I’m not that desperate.” Ash chuckled. “Neither am I. Just wanted to see your reaction.” Glaring at Ash, Rett grabbed a pillow and whacked him with it. “You douche bag. What the hell!” Ash kept laughing, blocking the hits.
Finally settling down, Rett looked over to his bed. “I don’t got another bed so uh.” Ash nodded, “I’ll take the couch. I got it.” “Well, actually….” Rett looked off to the side, refusing to look at Asher. “Are you asking?” Ash said, looking at Rett. “Only if you want.” He smiled and walked up to Rett. “I thought you said you weren’t’ desperate.” Angrily Rett looked at Ash, “I am not! I just…” It was Asher’s turn to stop Rett with a passionate kiss. Rett’s hand slid into Ash’s hair, as his breath was caught short and he tugged him closer. Ash flushed breaking the kiss for a moment, “If you keep at that, I’m gonna want more.” Rett blushed as his mind wandered eagerly kissing Ash. “Maybe, that wouldn’t be so bad.” Ash gripped Rett’s shirt, “I’m not that desperate.” He answered before plundering Rett’s mouth with his tongue. Rett found himself pressing himself against Ash, but didn’t care. It felt so good to be with someone, not feeling alone, being loved again. To be accepted. “Of course…neither am I.” Rett managed to gasp out before Ash picked him up. “w-what are you doing?”
Ash chuckled, “Testing something out.” He walked over to the bed and put Rett down on the bed. “You are really light.” That won an annoyed look from Rett. “I’m sorry I’m not all buff like you.” He stuck his tongue out at Asher. Quickly Ash leaned forward and engaged in another hungered filled kiss, taking Rett by surprise and winning a soft moan from him. Rett’s breaths were getting short and raspy from the excitement. He broke the kiss looking up at Ash. “Is this…a dream?” Ash chuckled, “No. Its not…but you gotta tell me what happens in your dreams though.” Rett looked off to the side, that wasn’t a good thing to bring up. He didn’t want to mention the nightmares he had. Looking back at Asher, he couldn’t help but smile. “Another time. This is a perfect moment…I don’t know how long it will last.”
Ash grinned, “That depends on you.” Rett debated, “Can we do a test drive?” “Sure. Only as far as you want.” A soft smile came across Rett’s face that made Ash smile with him. “Ya, because I’m not that desperate.” Ash kissed him tenderly, “I know. But it feels so nice.” Rett nodded, “yes…feels good not to be alone.” Just as he said that a tear trailed down his cheek. Ash wiped it away. “You don’t have to be anymore. I’ll be here, as long as you wish.” Rett’s heart fluttered and beat faster. He tugged Asher closer, kissing him deeper.
“Stay with me.”
