Part 2 -- A Not-So-Stylish Wake Up

          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lilac closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she held up her robotic hand, palm facing her friend, and crush, Silver. She opened her eyes and started to shoot sharp razor blades, from the blaster inside her metal palm, straight towards Silver who then used his psychokinesis to launch them toward the giant canvas hanging at a slant from the ceiling, right over the audience’s heads. Lilac shot the blades faster and faster until they had ran out. A pleased smile spread across Silver’s face as the crowd erupted in applause.

Lilac looked at the canvas and was pleased to see that they had successfully managed to arrange the colored blades so they created a portrait of her and Silver. The second she smiled she was pelted with popcorn. She looked at the crowd only to see them throwing their food and beverages at her and Silver. She ran backstage; Silver followed.

“What happened?! We did amazing! You did amazing! They loved it! What made them change their minds!?” Lilac asked, her voice raised. She felt Someone put arms around her neck and kiss the top of her head. “I don’t know what went wrong, but I do know your going to get a headache if you don’t calm down.” Lilac tensed a little. The voice that had just spoken to her was indeed familiar, but it was not Silver for sure. “Tanya? You good now?” Tanya? Lilac said to herself. “What do you mean Tanya?” She asked, “My name is Lilac.” She was about to add, who are you? but before she could the voice spoke again. “Well, I think I know my girlfriend when I see her,” he chuckled.

Ok... well now Lilac knew who it was, but why was he calling her his girlfriend? She turned around and, sure enough, met the eyes of Shade, Tanya’s boyfriend. Tanya was a good friend and an ally, but Lilac was almost nothing like her, So how could Shade possibly mistake her for the beautiful energetic skunk? “Are you ok, Tanya?” Shade asked sympathetically. “Shade! Stop calling me Tanya! I’m Lilac! I don’t look anything like Tanya! I’m a rabbit, she is a skunk, why are you being so weird?!” Lilac said, her voice raised yet again.

Shade gave her a weird look. He looked like he was going to explode in laughter, yet at the same time, he looked confused and concerned. “Maybe you should look in the mirror…” Shade said said handing her a hand mirror. Lilac rolled her eyes but took the mirror anyway. She gasped in surprise when she saw what indeed seemed to be Tanya looking back at her from the depths of the mirror world.

Lilac sat straight up in bed, and immediately realized she was no longer in her own room. The fading blue walls covered in maps, charts, and art, said that this was Tanya’s room. This must be some kind of prank. Tanya is always doing stuff like this. Lilac smiled and rolled her eyes as she swung her legs over the side of the bed. She almost screamed when she saw herself standing in the doorway.
