Purgetory

Sesa walked in the cold night, next to Elise.

He smiled at her, then kissed her forhead.
"So... Are you ok?" He asks, smiling a little.
She sighs, clinging to his arm.
"Sesa, theres something we need to talk about." She says suddenly, smiling to herself.

"Well, thats-"
A man stepped out of the shadows, holding a gun to Sesa as he said, "Listen up. I know who you are, so theres no need to scream. Just hand me the money or you die. The bitch too."

Elise squeeked and held to Sesa tighter.
They were getting mugged!

"Listen to me," Sesa says, slowly pulling out his wallet, "Theres no need for the gun. Just put that away and we'll talk about this."
The man shakes his head, snatching the wallet away from Sesa, turning his attention to Elise.
"Gimme your purse, bitch!" He says, grabbing her and aiming the gun at her. She screamed as Sesa pulled out a combat knife and tackled the man to the ground as he fired twice, directly into Sesa's skull, killing him.

Elise screamed again, and the man fired the pistol right between her eyes.

Elise woke up next to Sesa, in the water of a mountain spring.
"What the..."
She sat up, looking around and seeing literal floating islands with their own mountain springs.

Sesa sat up, confused as well.
"What happened to the mugger?" He asks, feeling the hole in his head.
"I dont know..." Elise replied, clinging to him. "The bigger question is, what is this place?"

"Purgetory." A voice says, sitting directly next to them.
They both startle, holding onto each other.
"Wait, you mean to say we're-"
"Yup. Dead as a door nail." The angel says, flipping the hair out of his face.

Both of their jaws drop, and Elise began to cry.
"Well," Sesa states, holding her closely, "That... That sucks." as the angel flaps his wings and leaves the two to adjust to their new home.
