Why

Sesa held Elise closely, looking at her aunt.

"America? But why?" He asks, completely shooken to the core.
Her aunt shook her head.
"Unless Aio pays the bills, theres just no other way." She says, truly feeling for the young couple.

Almost as soon as he brought her home, they told her the bad news.

"But... I can help! My family's rich. Not like theyll miss it." Sesa says, getting a glare from Mr. Akito.
"We dont accept charity." He said, crossing his arms.
Sesa shook his head at his hardheadedness. "Its not charity if I give it to you." He says, trying, pleading for him to listen.

"No! The Akitos do not take what they cannot return! Your offer is much appreciated, but the answer is still no." Mr. Akito states, face going red.

Her aunt crossed her arms, getting mad at her brothers stupidity and pride.
"Aio, the boy wants to help. Why deny him that? He obviously cares about the girl, and that in turn means you. Now please," she adds, slamming the checkbook down in front of him, "Sign the damned check!"

Aio looked at his sister, long and hard.
Then he slowly glances atElise, who replies with, "Please dad. For us."

Clenching his jaw, he quickly scrawls his name on the check, then crosses his arms and states, "For us."

Everyone sighed, all except Sesa.
"Ill be back." He says, picking up the check and walking toward the door. Elise stopped him, then asked him what he was doing.
"What I need to do." Was all he said as he walked out of the building and into the streets, starting his car, then driving away.

It would be three whole days before they talked again.
