The kit...
The she-cat had glinting gray fur and a few white specks. Her sister had completely white fur with blue-grey paws. Her brother had ginger fur, like his father. "I'll name the white one with blue-grey paws Riverkit...the o-one with ginger fur i-is Gingerkit...and the l-last one...shall be named M-Moonkit..." The new queen meowed shakily, in pain from the difficult birth of her new kits.------
"Come on, Palekit!" Moonkit meowed, running out of the nursery. Twigfur, Moonkit's mother, smiled. "She has a friend that doesn't exist, hm?" Another queen, Bluepelt, asked. Twigfur nodded. A tom, who often helped with the medicine cat but was a warrior, sat near them. He narrowed his eyes in thought. His mate, Cherryheart, had died when a fox was attacking the camp while she was giving birth to their kit, Palekit. Palekit had died, as well.
"Maybe her friend does exist...and we just cant see her." Skypool meowed, standing and padding away. He flicked his ear as he left, as a goodbye. The two queens stared at the entrance, surprised.
"Moonkit! You aren't supposed to go out of the clan camp!" Bluepelt snapped at the kit and Moonkit backed up, her ears pulled to her head and her tail wrapped around herself. "B-but I didn't! Palekit did! I swear she did! Right, Palekit?!" Moonkit asked, looking to her side. Bluepelt rolled her eyes and grunted. "You should be honest." Bluepelt meowed. "Y...you cant see Palekit!? She's right beside me! She said she did!" Moonkit meowed, her eyes wide. Skypool stepped in front of Moonkit.
"Moonkit is telling the truth. Palekit is here but we just can't see her. I cant say Palekit is alive...but she exists. Palekit is my kit, Bluepelt." Skypool meowed simply and Moonkit nodded. "Yeah, he's right! Palekit told me herself! Cherryheart is her mother!" Moonkit meowed, flicking her tail. Bluepelt stared at the two, her eyes wide with shock.
