The Choice
"Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth,"That's what they tell you when you need to calm down, or in Annette's case, get courage. She needed to move her feet. Just one more step, and she would be tumbling down-- Most likely to her death. She came this far, and there was no way she was backing out now. She refused to go back to the life she was living.
This was Mt. Ebott, a place where few have gone and none have returned. It's said that the monsters were sealed underground here, vicious and unruly beats that would certainly tear her to shreds if the fall didn't kill her.
No one would find her body. She would just be... Gone.
Perfect.
Soft brown hair brushed past her eyes in the gentle breeze, the breeze that seemed to nudge her towards the opening the ground. Was she sure she wanted this? She didn't have much more time to think about it. Her body moved on it's own then, as she stepped out into the open space beneath her feet.
