On the move
"Hikari... We should go. I remember Dandi saying something about a guild one day. In a place called... Magnolia?" I refused to move from my spot in a nearby tree for the past 5 hours and Rose was doing her hardest to help me move on. It was true. We needed to go. We couldn't stay here any longer as we had no one to look after us, no roof over our heads. A guild sounded like a nice place, but at that current movement, I just didn't want to do anything."Whats the point? Everyone I love is gone. I don't even know if Sting, Raios or Emerald are alive anymore."
"I'm sure they are! From what you've told me, They're very bright. I'm sure they'll be just fine." I looked over at Rose and smiled. How can she be so cheerful?
"Alright fine. Lets go" I jumped down from the tree and grabbed what little things I had. I also grabbed something very special to me. A Violin. Dandi taught me how to play the violin a few years ago and she said I was a beautiful player. This violin wasn't any old violin though. Mum had made it herself and had etched her name into the side and said it was mine to keep.
I looked around the clearing for the last time and sighed. A new adventure. But I'm not alone this time. I have my lifelong partner, Rose, with me. I didn't feel like flying so I started to walk. I didn't know which direction Magnolia was in but I knew that if I kept walking then I would find it eventually. Rose had her wings out, A magic ability called Aera, (I found out from mum) and was flying in front, scouting for danger. It wasn't necessary for her to do that because of my enhanced senses, but she did anyway.
A comfortable silence fell over us as we walked/flew. I looked around, taking in the new scenery around me and listening to the rustling of the trees. All the time, I was thinking of all the reasons she left us. She wasn't finished with training me. She wanted to implant a dragon slaying lacrima in me so that I was even stronger and I had access to new spells but she never did. She said that the lacrima would have made me a 3rd Generation Dragon Slayer, which are apparently very powerful.
I'm kind of glad she never got round to implanting the lacrima in me as I didn't want to be powerful. I was already happy with the powers I had. Why she wanted to boost them, left me wondering.
"Hikari, Are you okay?" Rose brought me out of my thoughts and I realised she was standing on the floor in front of me, watching me carefully.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I giggled when I thought of something funny.
"What's so funny?"
"We, Rose, Are on the move!"
