It was an ordinary day. Much like the others, mum had asked me to go fishing today and off I went, though I had to admit, mum sounded really down. Ill ask her when I get back.I got to the river and set up my fishing rod. I gathered some sticks and make a quick basket to put the fish in afterwards. Thanks to my enhanced hearing that came with being a dragon slayer, I can hear when a fish is about to bite so I've practically mastered fishing.
Mum was proud of me, at the age of 8 years old, (Im now 10) I had mastered every spell that she taught me. Except for one. I still can't seem to master the Mother Nature healing spell. Mum said it would take a while to learn since it was a very advanced spell, but even knowing that, I practiced it every single day without fail.
I caught about 20 fish, 2 for me and the rest for mum. Of course, her being a dragon means she eats a lot more than I do. I packed up and started walking home. I would've flown but the skies were stormy and I didn't want to risk being shot out of the sky by a lightning bolt.
When I did get back however, Mum was no where to be found. Usually she's waiting for me or fast asleep in the clearing but she wasn't here today.
"Mum? Mum where are you? Ive caught loads of fish!" There was no response. I put the basket of fish down and decided to risk flying up into the air to get a better look around. "Earth Dragon; Wings!" My dark green wings appear and I fly up into the sky, thats when I notice two words spelt out in rose petals
"Hikari? Whats wrong?" I turned and faced my flying cat Rose who I found as an whilst hunting one day. "You know it's too dangerous to be flying right now."
"I know... But... I think mum has left us..." I read the words spelt out by the rose petals.
'I'm sorry.'
"Why... Why would Dandi do this...? She took you in and raised you as her own... and she just leaves?!" I hugged the red cat close to me, not caring if I get hit by lightning and cried. The only people that ever cared about me where gone. Mum. Dad. Sting. Raios. Emerald. Dandi. They're all gone.
