*kries's POV*
I quickly ran through the forest, grinning. When I had been the second to be selected for this competition, I had never been happier. I got to be alone for at least a month. I found a place to stay, a small room somehow engraved in a large tree. It was dangerous to set up camp there, because you needed fire to keep warm. And fire could burn down the tree, but I was willing to take the chance. My little room was quiet and dark, just as I liked. I had only picked up a knife from the weapon table, but it was all I needed. I sat in my tree, waiting for an animal to walk by.
Vivid's perspective*
Me, yamilette, and yana walked through the forest, trying to find a place to stay. Yamilette finally spotted a nice cave that could house five people. We marked our territory by drawing a line across the entrance of the cave with a stick, and then wrote our numbers. "There! We now have a place to stay!" I said. We all rushed in and started lighting it up. Yana went to collect firewood while me and yamilette stayed in the cave making cots so we could sleep out of leaves and pine needles.
*Yana's POV*
I ran through the forest, picking up twigs and logs that were randomly on the ground. I had just picked up my 27th log when I heard rustling in the bushes. I dropped the logs and turned, taking out my sword. I charged towards the bushes and brought my sword down. I heard a dying squeak and I looked in the bush. I saw a dead deer in the bush. "Yes!" I said and picked it up. "I think I have enough logs..." I said and picked up the logs too. The deer smelled horrible, but it was food. I arrived back at the cave we claimed and set down the logs and deer. "Woah! You got a deer?!" Asked yami. "Yeah..." I said and started piling the logs down and trying to light a fire. The sun was already setting, and we needed fire to cook the deer. I finally got a small flame, and it got bigger and bigger. I carefully set the deer on top of it. "Get ready, team, because this is what were gonna have to do for a solid month."
