Lurking Through the Dark
As Dipper turned the page over, he realized that the other pages were full of blanks on each one....which means that someone hasn't written anything yet for a quite a while now...However...Right after Dipper and Mabel read the book together... Mabel begins to sadden a little then she said, " I feel bad for her...she did everything she could, just to keep her beloved ones safe..."
Dipper begin to nod and asked, "I agree...but...what really makes me wonder is that who wrote this book that is 300 hundred years old...not just only that but...what was the name of the legendary sword called exactly...?"
"I don't know, it's kinda hard to say bro..." said Mabel
Dipper begin to sigh and said, "I guess it's the only one way to find out soon...hopefully..."
Suddenly, Stan came in the room and said, "Hey kiddos, dinners ready...but you might want to hurry before it gets cold soon though..."
"Whoa, dinner already? That was quick! " exclaimed Mabel
Dipper begin to scratch his back of his neck a little and said, "Well...I guess it did took us a lot of time to read...of course...we haven't really thought about lunch yet while we were reading this book for a quite a while...but I do feel a little bit hungry, so it's probably best eat something for now..."
Mabel begin to grin a little and said, "You are so right Dipper, we should totally eat since we forgot about lunch that time!"
"True...we should probably go now since Grunkle Stan is waiting for us..." said Dipper
As they walked down stairs and ended up eating some spaghetti for dinner...
However, right after dinner...Ford came by and asked, "So, Dipper...how was the book? Did it turned out ok when you first read it"
"Yeah, everything turned out fine but I don't see why you would asked that question though..." said Dipper with soft smile
"Well, the reason why I asked that question is because I wanted to make sure if I edited right..." said Ford
"Oh, well...I guess that explains it and all..." said Dipper
When Dipper first thought about the legendary sword and the person of who wrote then he asked, " Hey, um...Grunkle Ford...?"
Ford looks over to Dipper and replied, "Yes?"
Dipper begin to pause for a minute then he said, "Do you know anything about the legendary sword and the person who wrote this 300 year old book so far?"
Ford starts to think for a minute before he could speak then he said, "Hmm, no...not that I know of, but I am still studying on the basics and stuff to figure that out a little..."
"Oh...I see....I guess we'll have to find out till later then..." said Dipper
"Yeah, I suppose so..." said Ford
"I tell you what, maybe we could find out the main answer together since we're all curious about it!" Said Mabel with a smile on her face
"Hmm...well...I don't know about that...it's a lot of work to concentrate things a little...of course it can be complicated to figure out the main answers as well..." said Ford
"True, it can be hard to solve the main answers from each mystery sometimes..." said Dipper
"Well, you'll never know unless you give it a try right? Like how hard can it possibly be?" said Stan
"Yeah, how hard can it be? I bet it'll be fun once we study all of their secrets about their main history!" said Mabel
"Well...it's up to you, if you would like to help me then you're always welcome to do that..." said Ford
"Yes, I would love too! I've been wondering all about her for so long I just can't wait to find out some answers about her soon!" Said Mabel
"I bet you do Mabel...however...I kinda wonder how powerful is the sword really is and how she managed to live in a long decade...perhaps there could be some kind of explanation from this 300 year old book...of course, it does seem quite interesting once we study it a little...well...I suppose we'll continue on searching for a while, shall we...?" Said Ford
Dipper and Mabel begin to nod as an agreement as they started working together as a team....
While they were working together...Mabel got a little bit bored but was still looking for answers about this strange person...till it was midnight...they knew that it was pass by their bedtime, so Mabel and Dipper decided to go to sleep while Ford is still focusing on his work to discover more answers from history....
While Mabel and Dipper was fast asleep...the small dark shadowy figure begin to crawl out of the book from their room...when Mabel woke up...she saw something lurking inside of their room...Mabel stood very still within terror...she wasn't so sure if she was dreaming or not...so she decided to turn the light on...as soon as she turned the light on...she found out that nothing was there...she turned the light off and noticed that there was a pair of glowing eyes, sitting on the ceiling...watching over her...Mabel begin to panic a little as she begin to hug Waddles tightly...not wanting to let go as Waddles begin to oink a little...
Mabel begin to stutter a little within fear...then she realized that she had her grabbing hook near her bed...she grabbed her item and tries to threaten it...while she tries threatening it...the little figure jumps of to the floor and teleported towards the door as it ran off from thin air...Mabel decided to go after it to see what it was...then...she thought about telling her brother about this...then she started to thought, "I have to tell Dipper this, but...if I do...then the mysterious figure might get away while I explain it to him...I might regret this...but I feel like that I don't have any other choice but to find out if it's the same creature that we saw last time and why it's watching over us the whole time..I guess i'll have to explain this to him later when I come back...hopefully nothing goes wrong while I'm gone....of course it might not be a better option to do...but...I should probably go before it's too late!"
She ran towards the door and went after the mysterious figure into the woods...as soon as she made it into the woods...she realized that she lost the mysterious figure that she's after...suddenly...she heard a yelping noise near by...so she went after it....while she's following that noise...she saw a three tailed fox wearing a hoodie over it's head...it's face was dark and hard to see...all she could see from it's face was it's glowing yellow innocent eyes...she looked at the legendary fox like creature very closely then she realized that it's leg is stuck from an animal trap...while Mabel was looking at the fox like creature...the legendary fox looked at over to Mabel..and got scared...it tried to run away from her, but realized that it couldn't teleport from one place to another since the leg is still stuck from an animal trap...Mabel started to feel bad for the little fox like creature, so she decided to send it free in the wild of where it belongs...as she walks towards the three tailed fox, it begin to froze within fear...Mabel begin to open the animal trap to free it's leg...while the foxe's leg was free...the fox slowly looked at Mabel and left...since it was too shy to contact her...However...Mabel begin to sigh happily and then thought, "Maybe the monster that we saw wasn't a monster after all..."
While Mabel was in the middle of the woods...she decided to turn back to the shack since there's no sign of the monster of what they were really looking for...
However, in 1 hour later...Mabel still hasn't made it to the shack yet, but as soon as Dipper woke up in his bed...he noticed that she was no longer in the room with him...so he started to panic a little as he tried to take a deep breath and thought, "Calm down, I'm sure that she might be in the bathroom or something..." he got off the bed and walked towards the bathroom...as soon as he walk towards the bathroom realized that the door was open and the light was off... he started to feel a little more worried then thought, "Ok...? That's odd...maybe she's with our uncles...?" He walked towards the living room and noticed that Stan wasn't there...he starts to worry even more then thought, "This doesn't seem right...I'll have to check in the lab instead since it's the only place she might be in..." He walked into the lab where Ford was and when he first walked into the lab...he saw Grunkle Ford studying for some answers of the book still... then Dipper asked, "Grunkle Ford...?"
"Hmm...?" Asked Ford as he looked over to Dipper
"Is Mabel in here with you?" Said Dipper
Ford shook his head and replied, "Nope, I haven't seen her...is there something wrong...?"
Dipper begin to pause for a minute then he thought, "Wait, if Mabel is not in here then that means..."
His eyes begin to widen and yelled, "We have to find her before it's too late!"
Ford looked at him worryingly and asked, "What...? What do you mean by that Dipper...?"
Dipper begin to gulp within but tries to stay calm and replied, "Well...in the far beginning...the gnomes warned us about this mysterious creature we saw from the news...they were in terror, not knowing what was lurking behind the shadows...and last night...when I first woke up, I found out that Mabel was no longer inside the bedroom...so I decided to look for her, then I realized that she wasn't in any of the rooms that she was in...then I thought she might be there with you...but...it turns out that she wasn't...we have to find her...."
Ford begins to worry even more but quietly took a deep breath and said, "Alright...stay here, I'll wake Stan up and we'll investigate together as soon as possible...as soon as we leave the shack, you have to stay close with us as long as you're safe at all costs...understood...?"
Dipper begin to nod slowly and said, "Yes..."
"Good, now let's go find your sister..." said Ford
As soon as they begin to work together, they went outside and got in the car to find Mabel as fast as they could while investigating...as time went by...Mabel was all alone, as soon as she walked over to the road without noticing...while Stan and the others from the other hand were talking and driving at the same time...suddenly...Mabel saw the head lights in front of her just about run into her...as her amily members saw her...they were in shocked as they tried to stopped the vehicle...instead of getting hit by a vehicle, the tall dark figure jumps at Mabel and grabs her...Mabel was in shocked and confused at the same time...but she closed her eyes as the figure begin to twirl as it landed on its back from 4 feet away to safe distance...one of Mabel's family members got scared, not knowing of what it was but was worried about her...as dark figure begin to sit up, it looked at Mabel...Mabel begin to groan, feeling dizzy all of the sudden...the dark figure notice that she is still ok without any harm...as Mabel begin to open her eyes, she saw tall dark backing away a little from her...as soon as her family members got out of the car, the dark figure begin to run off without getting caught by them...
However, while the dark figure was gone...Ford and the others ran towards Mabel to see if she was ok...as soon as they ran towards her, Ford kneels down to her and touches her shoulder gently and asked, "Are you alright...?"
Mabel looks at grunkle Ford feeling in shocked all of the sudden and said, "That thing....it...saved my life..."
Ford was a little bit then asked, "What did the thing look like...?"
"I don't know, I wasn't even looking when it first ran over to me..." said Mabel
Dipper looked at her confusingly and worried at the same time then he asked, "Why did you ran outside without telling us...?"
"Well...when I first saw the dark figure sitting on the ceiling, I got scared...so I used the grabbling hook to scare it away...then the dark figure started to run away...I thought about telling you this, but I was worried that I might lose the shadowy figure that I saw...so I went after it to see of what was it up to...but I'm sorry that I left you without telling...I really am...I could've told you this before I left..." Said Mabel
"It's ok Mabel...it's just that...next time...try to let us know of where you're headed so that way, we won't have to worry so much as long as you're safe..." said Ford
"Ok, I'll try to keep that in mind then..." said Mabel
"Good, let's go home...I'm so tired that I could use some sleep now..." said Stan as he yawned and stretched his arms a little as he gets into the car
"Grunkle Stan is probably right, we should rest now since we've been up all night...we shall turn back..." said Ford
Mabel begin to nod as an agreement and said "Right!"
As the three of them went inside the car and left...
