Being Watched within the Dark
Right after they watched this film, they felt nothing but guilt, confused, scared and sad within sorrow..."That poor lady... No wonder why the house was banned...They've been suffering ever since then..." said Mabel
Dipper sadly looked at the TV then he replied, "I wonder why would they do such a thing against them...is it something that has to do with their life from the far beginning...?"
"Probably, but that film was the most terrifying image I have ever seen right there dude...." said Soos
"Stan looked at Soos and replied, "Same..."
Suddenly, someone came by and said, "What are you guys up to?" In a man voice
They looked over and noticed that it was Ford that was talking to them.
Mabel smiled softly and said, "Oh hi Grunkle Ford, you actually came just in time! We were watching a lost tape till you arrived! Sadly, this video made me feel bad from part of it though...But hey, at least you came because we we're waiting for you to come here!"
Ford scratches the back of his head and asked, "Oh, I see...was there anything else that you were up to so far...?"
Dipper replied, "Well, we haven't really done anything much but we did found something from the abandoned house, and I think it's a good time to show you this..."
"Oh, alright then...what is it you found?" Said Ford
Dipper pulled out an unusual book that was a three hundred years old that came from the abandoned house and gave it to Ford...
He looked at the book and noticed that there was old symbols on the front in a different language...it had a celtic designs on it with three flowers and old stained blood streaming down on the book...He opened the book and found out that every chapter was written in Scottish...but when he first saw the symbol of the hand that has an eye on it...he find it somewhat disturbing but interesting at the same time...
He looked over to Dipper and asked, "Do you mind if I study on it since it's written all in Scottish, I just need some time to translate it a little."
"Um, sure...I honestly don't mind that at all..."said Dipper
"Thanks, I'll study on this book and it will be done in no time." Said Ford
As he left the living room, he went to his lab to study on it for a while...
"So, what are we going to do now?" Said Soos
"Well, I guess we should have lunch since it might be important to keep our strengths up." Said Dipper
Mabel begin to smile and said, "Good idea, we should settle things down and do something fun later on!"
"Well I should leave be for now so you could enjoy lunch, it's nice being with you dudes..." said Soos as he waved at them and left
As soon as Soos left, Mabel Dipper decided to have a sandwich and some yogurt for lunch. Right after lunch, they decided to go in an adventure in the middle of the woods...as soon as they got into the woods, they saw gnomes running away, hiding their homes with bushes...suddenly, Fred ran past them in a hurry which made them wonder all of the sudden...
"Fred, what's going on? Why are you running away?" Asked Dipper
Fred stopped for a minute then he replied, "Haven't you heard? There was this dark strange figure that was watching over us in the middle of the night."
"Did it look like a bear or a monster of some sort?" said Dipper
Fred shook his head and replied, "No, it looked more like a human figure but different....it had razor sharp teeth and claws with glowing eyes in the middle of the dark...it came here like it was up to something but I couldn't tell what exactly though..."
"Wait minute, that's just like yesterday from the news!" Said Mabel
"You're right, it's just like what the criminal had witnessed!" Said Dipper
Fred looked at them then said, "I would start going back home if I were you, it's not safe to be here till dusk."
"Ok, we should go back home to safety before it gets dark at all costs." Said Dipper
Mabel nodded and said, "Right!"
As soon as they make it back to the Mystery Shack, they finally arrived safely...when they first got inside the building and begin to gasp from exhaustion...suddenly, Stan noticed that his nephew and his niece was back....he started to worry a little because the way the are reacting now...
He looked at them worryingly and asked, "Are you alright? Where have you been?"
Mabel looked at Stan and replied, "Remember the news that we watched from yesterday?"
Stan looked at Mabel confusingly and said, "Yes?"
"Well, the one with the dark figure that terrorized the criminal half to death is still out there!" Said Mabel
Stan remembered about this unusual creature from the news but begin to sigh and shook his head as he replied, "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about it now, even if this creature did try to harm you...then I would never let it go near you, the long as you're safe with me and from your other grunkle as well..."
"Did you really mean that...?" Said Dipper
Stan nodded slowly and smiled softly as he replied, "Yes, we will always be there to guide you....the long as you're ok...because we care for you and will always love you dearly no matter what..."
Mabel begin to tear up and smiled softly then said, "That was the most heart warming thought that I have ever heard..."
"Awe, thanks kiddo...I really appreciate that a lot....tell you what, let's have some hotdogs for dinner while we roast some smores together and talk about some interesting stories about ourselves to settle things down for the night...what do you think?" Said Stan with a wink
"Hmm, I like that idea!" Said Dipper
"Alright then, let's get things started here!" Said Stan
As they went outside to make a campfire, roast some hotdogs and make smores as they started talking about of how their day went...while they were talking together, Stan decided make sure that there is no danger nearby...and right after the talking ended, they decided to go back inside the Mystery Shack as Dipper and Mabel got ready for bed...
As soon as they get ready for bed, Dipper thought about the unusual book that they found today and asked, "Mabel? Have you ever wondered that there might be something different about this book that we found today?"
Mabel tilt her head a little and said, "Yeah, kinda...."
"It's probably best if I check on Grunkle Ford, just to see of how he's doing so far....aren't you ok with that?" Said Dipper
Mabel begin to smile and nod as she replied, "Sure, I don't mind that at all!"
"Oh, ok...it won't be long, I just wanted to make sure of how he's doing so far..." said Dipper
As he left the room to check on Ford...However, when he first went to check on him....he noticed that grunkle Ford is still working on the book...
Dipper decided to give it a shot and said, "Hey grunkle Ford, are you almost done with the book?"
Ford looked over to Dipper and shook his head as he replied, "Nope, but I'm almost done though...I just need some time to finish it till midnight..."
"Oh, ok...well, I guess I'll go to bed now...goodnight Ford..." said Dipper as he begin to yawn a little
Ford begin to chuckle and smiled softly then he said, "Goodnight Dipper, sleep well..."
"Thanks, you too grunkle Ford..." said Dipper
As he went upstairs to meet up with Mabel in the bedroom to get ready for bed...When Dipper first got into the bedroom...
Mabel begin to snuggle Waddles and looked over to Dipper then she asked, "So, how did it go?"
Dipper begin to scratch the back of his head and replied, "Nothing much, but he said that he's almost done translating the book...so we might able have the chance to read it till tomorrow..."
Mabel smiled and said, "Cool, I wonder what's going to be about..."
"I don't know but it's only one way to find out till tomorrow..." said Dipper
"Then let's get some shut eye, it's going to be big day for us to do tomorrow and I could guarantee that!" Said Mabel
Dipper begin to smile a little and said, "Yep...well I guess it's a goodnight Mabel..."
"Goodnight Dippy, don't let the bed bugs bite!" Said Mabel with a snicker
"Ha ha, very funny Mabel...Goodnight..." said Dipper
As they drift off to sleep....
While they are fast asleep, unusual things start to happen...When Ford was translating the book, he started understand of what this book was mainly about....it was something that he had never seen before...while he was fixing the translation, it became midnight...as the images on the book started to move on it's own and the book begin to glow a little....
Ford begin to feel less startled but he found it a little interesting at the same time....knowing that this book may seem frightening as it is now, but when he first got a better look at it, the more he realized that it doesn't bring any harm but brings some unknown facts within History...when he first read part of it from translating the book....he found part of the story sad but very interesting at the same time from each chapter so far...until he made it to the end of the page....he decided to make a copy in English from the copy machine and put in a different book that is similar to the other...he did this so he could continue studying it later from some more research...but for now....He decided to give it to Dipper from the book that is written in English so he could have one on his own for tomorrow morning since Dipper really wanted to know of what's really about from inside of this book as much as Ford does...thinking that it would've been nice to share information of what he did so far, just for him...
As soon as he finishes it, he put the new book on the table and takes a rest till tomorrow...but right before he takes a rest....he felt like something was watching over him...but couldn't tell what exactly...he turned over and saw a dark figure with it's eyes glowing in the middle of the dark...Ford stood within terror as he turned the light on, as soon as he turned the light on...nothing was there....he turned off the light again to see if he wasn't hallucinating...then he saw the dark figure again that was a lot more closer to him then it was before...
Suddenly, he heard Stan's voice behind him which made Ford jumped a little as he turned around for a minute... "Is there something wrong?"said Stan
Ford begin to pause, then he looked behind him and realised that the dark figure was gone all of the sudden...he begin sigh, wasn't so sure if it was an illusion or what not...then he thought "Well, I suppose I'm just seeing things since I've been up all night..."
He shook his head and replied, "No, everything is fine....there is nothing you should worry about..."
Stan looked at him confusingly then he said, "Alright...? So...how was the book that they gave you, find anything different about it...?"
"Sort of, I was just about take a rest since it's been a long day for me...Hopefully the kids are ok with the book so far, once I send it to them till tomorrow...that is...." said Ford
