Back on topic
Well you see, in my sixteen years of life I have experienced many things (though I still need many more)
I've been through many fandoms
Many songs. Many fun times. Many sad times
But all that never prepared me for the heart break of my freshman high school year
Love isn't always easy, especially when it's mostly one sided
9th grade was a new year for me.
I lost some friends . Kept some. And made new ones
Last year was also new for me, cause that was the year I had my first girlfriend
To some that might be to late or to early.....
I believe it was too early
This is the story
There was this girl that I liked. She was sweet, kind, and we always hanged out together
As time passed I started think that I liked her (opinion was also influenced by friends)
And my friends started to notice how I acted around her (her friends did too, they also said we'd look cute together)
So I asked her out, and she said yes
So yes everything was sweet and I was happy, she was happy
But I don't think I was actually prepared for "love"
After a while, I started to hate the pressure of this so called "relationship"
I hated all the responsibilities and choices that were needed
I was unhappy, and I felt like she was too
We lasted six months(though I don't think the last one counted cause she ghosted me (๑´╹‸╹`๑)
Either way, our relationship ended and so did our friendship (now we just awkwardly pass each other in the hallway)
Now,I'm not saying that my type of relationship applies to everyone, cause it doesn't
I know some of you have real relationships (That I might never have*le cri*)
What I am saying is that sometimes we mix up our feelings.
And sometimes it's because of what we expect from societies view on love
If you have a crush on someone you should ask them out right?
No, you should get to know them better
You should try to understand your feelings for them
Is it admiration? Is it cause of their looks, is it cause of their attitude
Then ask yourself, can I really make a relationship work based on those feelings?
Don't start to fear rejection just yet, cause first you need to be sure of what you feel
I don't have the answer to love, nobody really does
But, once you look inside and analyze what you feel, you can make this so called "love" more real
