Can't take it anymore
DAWN'S POVBryan was acting like a jerk. I looked at him at lunch. he was whisperin to his minions about "stuff." they kept looking at me and laughing. Autumn must have seen me look at the verge of tears. "are you ok?" Sshe perked. "bryan is being a JERK." I told her. Autumn sighed. "What is he doing?" She asked. "He's spreading rumors about me an-" I ran out of the cafeteria crying. Luckily Bryan didn't notice. "Dawn!" Autumn called behind me, but i just ran faster.
"Are you ok?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to see Jerome looking at me looking concerned. I wiped tears from my eyes. "Yea. I'm fine." I said. He sat next to me. "I don't think so." He said. "Well, just that Bryan was being a total jerk, but I thought there was something between us, but he thought us as friends the whole time." I exclaimed. "I think it was his friends because they where talking rumors about me." My voice cracked and I started crying again. I didn't want Jerome to see, so I covered my face with my hands. "Bryan did that?" Jerome said. I nodded not taking my hands away from my face.
"Please leave." I said. Jerome took off his headphones and put them on me. I took out my iPod and plugged it into them. It played the song White Horse by Taylor Swift. "Thanks." I said. He smiled a bit. "No problem." I smiled and held his hand. For some reason it made me feel better. I took off the headphones after the song ended. He wiped the last of my tears and I leaned against the tree. "Bryan is an idiot. I won't let him get away with what he did." I sighed. Jerome laughed. "I'll talk with him." He assured. "Thanks Jerome." I said. "No problem." He replied. I was still feeling sad, but I was better now.
"Why would Bryan do that to me though!" I exclaimed. "I don't know." Jerome replied. "Maybe he found someone better." I huffed. "Maybe I wasn't good enough." Jerome looked surprised. "If I where you, I wouldn't change a thing." He said. "You wouldn't?" I replied, feeling myself turn red. "Dawn, you're really pretty!" Now he was turning red. We both looked away quickly. "Do you really think that?" I whispered. "Um. Yea." We where both bright red now. I turned back to face him. I leaned on his shoulder. "Thanks." I finally said.
