Chapter Three

They led Fox through the city before making it to a club.
“Guys? We aren’t allowed to go in there.” Fox said, Piv rolled her eyes and Pow opened the door. The music was comprised of loud and obnoxious rappers making loud and obnoxious statements about loud and obnoxious things. Not the kind of music that adults would approve of. They wove through the crowds before making it to an elevator.
“Hey Piv!” Someone yelled and Piv turned around. A boy with sandy brown hair was making his way through the crowd.
“What do you want jerkasaurus?” The boy laughed,
“Nothing Piv, I just wanted to see you.”
“Get out of here Sozhu!” Pow yelled, his face was twisted with rage and fury. The boy named ‘Sozhu’ raised his hands in defence and went away.
“Who was that?” Fox asked, Pow scowled as he ignored the question and pressed the button for the elevator.
“That was Sozhu McGaldon. He’s the biggest jerk there ever was. He’s full of himself and thinks that I’ll just be all over him because he comes here every day.”
“Can we stop talking about him?” Pow said with so much ferocity that Fox was quite scared of him.
“If you stop talking about the stupid Ehdu then maybe we’ll stop talking about Sozhu.”
“Ehdu isn’t a jerk.”
“No, she isn’t intelligent enough to be a jerk.”
“Shut up.”
“Make me.”
“Guys?” Pow and Piv looked at Fox, breaking them out of their sibling fight. “Can we stop fighting and tell me why the heck we’re here?” The elevator dinged suggesting that the elevator was there and they walked inside.
“We’re here to try and convince you.” Pow said,
“Convince you to help us.” Piv clarified, scowling at her brother. Fox nodded quietly. The ride in the elevator was quite awkward and silent until Fox asked,
“Who are the city kids?” Both Pow and Piv smiled to themselves.
“That’s what we call ourselves to try and get clients.” The elevator doors opened as Fox asked,
“Clients?” Piv and Pow walked out of the elevator and Fox took in the sight of the room. There were colourful lights everywhere for tradition. Cushions lined the walls and there were two beds n either side of the room. A small window was at both ends, in the right places so you could look out the window at night. There was a whiteboard in the middle of the room hanging on the wall. You could see pieces of paper spilling out from underneath the two kids bed’s.
“I’ve never seen those lights for real.” Fox said, gazing at the coloured lights on the ceiling. “I’ve heard about the tradition but I’ve never seen them.” Piv smiled,
“Yeah, the tale of the colours. How if you stare at them long enough and you accept the harmony, you can be gifted with a strange and wonderful power.”
“Does it actually work?”
“I don’t know, I’ve never really looked at them long enough.” Fox stared at the lights but saw nothing. He sighed and sat on one of the cushions.
“So, what am I here for?” Pow raised his index finger,
“Wait.” The three teens sat in silence for a moment before there was a knock on the door.
“Client.” Pow and Piv said together and they said, “Come in!” A boy walked in. He was wearing a suit that looked far to expensive for a teenager to be wearing. His face portrayed seriousness and he looked like someone who would not stand for jokes. Piv didn’t take too kindly to people like him.
“Hello sir. What problem do you face that requires our assistance?” Pow asked, stopping Piv from making a comment.
“Yes, I do believe that is what I’ve come here for-.”
“No kidding.” Piv cut across from the boy. It earned her a glare from Pow. The boy cleared his throat and said,
“My boss has asked to keep his identity secret.”
“You mean, your dad?” Piv said,
“I never said-“ The boy began,
“I know you didn’t say, I saw. Your suit is too big for you. A boss wouldn’t give a boy his suit neither send a boy to do his bidding. Of course it’s your father because that is a suit for a guy. Now please continue I don’t like to spend too much time talking.”
“Could’ve fooled me.” Fox heard Pow mumble, which earned him an elbow in the stomach from Piv.
“Continue.” She said, The boy gave an exasperated look at Piv, and turned to Pow.
“My BOSS” He emphasised, “needs to have something cleared up for him. He needs certain things to be placed in certain places to make sure that people don’t get the wrong idea.”
“Of course sir, what specifically do you need?” Pow said just as Piv said,
“Sorry, we don’t work for murderers.” The boy clenched his fist and said sternly,
“I wasn’t talking to you.”
“No, you were talking to both of us. It’s not just up to him what cases we take and which ones we leave. We don’t work for murderers.” Piv countered, daring him to continue. The boy positioned himself to be looking at Piv. He pointed a finger at her and said,
“He’s not a murderer.”
“Of course he is!” Piv exclaimed, “You said that he needs things to be put in different places. If we take the case the next thing you know we’ll be taking a body or a knife away from the public so nobody knows.” The boys face turned pale and Piv knew that she was right. He shakily said,
“
That’s not true.”
“Yes it is. Now please get out before I call the police to keep an eye on your father.” The boy gave one last look at Piv before standing up and walking stiffly out of the room.

This was a pretty good story. I would work a bit more on the punctuation, though. However, it's suspenseful and I'd be interested in reading more! Good job! :D

Thanks, I'll look over the punctuation.
