So first, before we explain why she is god, we must go over what makes a character god. There is a list of the things that make a character god:
1. They’re a good character
2. They bring interest into the storyline
3. They have some sort of platinum skill

Celeste is a god level character. She's that character with interest that we all wanted. Chapter 1 was interesting. So were chapters 2 and 3. Chapter 4, the first chapter she wasn't alive in, kind of made the whole game go downhill. It basically turned the game into the plot for some gaudy love story movie. And by gaudy love story, I mean it turned Naegi into Dramatic Protagonist and Kyoko and everyone else he's shipped with into Basic Love Interest. Or that was what it was kind of like the whole game. But Celeste brought an energy into the game that made the game better.

She also was the only one to plan a murder, which made her character more interesting. Leon killing Sayaka and the incident with Mukuro were last minute, Mondo killed Chihiro out of rage, and Sakura killed herself. And this is where the hate comes in. The majority of the people who hate Celeste hate her because of what she did to Taka, and because of her lying about being assaulted. But this was all for a reason. In Celeste's FTEs, and in the wiki, it states that Celeste's dream in life was to live in a European palace with vampire servants and all that jazz. (Its why she started gambling.) And if that's your dream and $10,000,000 is on the line, then you gotta do what you gotta do. She is also hated because of her manipulating Hifumi. But if this fandom can flap their hands around and list 836,923,736,937,915,625 reasons why Hifumi is the worst Danganronpa character ever, then that whole situation can be gotten rid of.

I totally support your decision to dislike her if you do, there are so many reasons to, just like every other character.
