Chapter 8
Jeff’s POV

I can’t believe she spit in my eyes. That girl’s got nerve. I look down at my hands, seeing them blood-soaked. I usually am covered in blood, but I don’t know where this came from. I look down, and see a few drops of blood, leading out of the living room. I grin. She reopened that wound EJ gave her… Of course, I saw the whole thing, I was watching from the window… Yeah yeah, I’m a creeper.

I also now know that her name’s (Y/N), and Toby quite obviously is crushing on her. I just can imagine how that would go once BEN’s returned to his normal age. He’ll probably try to claim what’s his, and they’ll fight, and she’ll end up dying. It’s happened before. Toby’s always stealing BEN’s girls, even if it’s just for a night. BEN has only had one long-lasting girl, and he killed her by accident. They were messing around, (Not like that!) and pushing each other around, and she fell into his computer. We don’t know if she actually died, but we never found her.

Following the trail leads me to a room, and I chuckle. She’s probably already dead, she went into LJ’s room. He likes to play with his victims.

I open the door with a creak and see the blood lead further into the room. Hmm, that laughing freak doesn’t seem to be here, maybe she’s still alive. “Come out, come out wherever you are! Is this hide and seek? (Y/N), you know I’ll win… You left a trail of blood leading to this room…” I say and I walk towards the closet, seeing the trail end there. “(Y/N)... I know where you are,” I say, and wait. Maybe she’ll respond, or try to run. Instead, I hear another voice.

“Are we playing Hide and Seek? Why didn’t you invite me? I LOVE Hide and Seek…”

        Damn it! Jack!

        Your POV

You look at the creature, it’s smile growing ever larger. It’s a monochrome clown, with a long, cone nose, with black and white stripes, that must be what poked you! It’s outfit consists of a white undershirt with suspenders, and a feather coat over it, covering its shoulders. Feathers…  Its long sleeves are black and white. It has long, black claws, instead of hands, and it’s hunched over awkwardly, grinning down at you. Its lips are painted black and in a smile, and it’s wild black hair covers most of its eyes. You forget about the immediate danger outside the door, and scream, fumbling with the closet door, and tumbling out, still screaming. Hands grab you, pulling you up, and pushing you back. Jeff stands in front of you, as if protecting you from the monster.

“Jack, why the hell are you in the closet?” Jeff asks, and you frown. Jack? That looks nothing like Jack. The clown steps out of the closet, laughing.

“I was just trying to eat from my candy stash, when this little girl decides to hide in my closet. And she didn’t even both to ask me if I wanted to play.” You frown.

“I am NOT a little girl!” You speak up, and the clown raises an eyebrow. You raise one in response.

“Sweetie, I’m over 200 years old. If I say you’re a little girl, then you’re a little girl,” He replies. 200?

“You don’t look 200,” You counter, propping your hands on your waist.

“Well thanks, darling,” He says, chuckling.

“You know what? I’m so out of here. My parents will be getting home soon. I need to be there to meet them, and I need to get away from you freaks,” You say, beginning to walk out, but Jeff grabs your arm. “What?” You snap. He chuckles.

“Where do you think you’re going?” He asks, an amused expression on his face.

        “Uh, home.”

        “No, you’re not.”

“What do you mean?” You ask, dread forming a bubble in your stomach.

“What I mean is you’re not leaving here. Ever.”

You suddenly tug your arm out of his. “YOU’RE A F*CKING LIAR!” You scream, running through the hall, tears threatening to flow, afraid that he’s telling the truth. “TOBY GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!” You yell. You hear several pairs of footsteps, but you ignore them. Toby approaches you cautiously.

        “W-What is it (Y-Y/N)? You’re c-causing a scene,” He whispers.

“I don’t give a f*ck,” You say, grabbing him by his sleeve, and pulling him closer to you. “Take me home,” You demand, and a panicked expression ghosts his face, followed by one of sympathy. Your face goes pale, and you shake your head. “No…”

        “I’m sorry.”

“No… You’re lying. Y-You’re lying to me. You’re all lying to me!” You yell, pointing at everyone around you. Toby walks up to you.

        “I’m s-sorry (Y-Y/N).”

“Liar!” You can’t help it. You break down right there in the hallway, muttering that one word over and over again. All the tears that have built up over the day pour out, and you feel a hand on your back.

        “(Y-Y/N), it’s g-gonna be alright.”

        “Liar.”
