Chapter 7
I knock on Slender’s door, and don’t bother waiting for him to respond before opening it. “What is it, child?” I hear inside my head. I grimace.
“There are a few cops wandering around. What should we do?”
He seems to ponder this for a moment, before responding. “Thank you child. No need to panic, they can not find us here, we are safe. Please do not tell any of others of this, they will only cause chaos.” I nod, and turn around, closing the door behind me. Lately, there have been cops wandering around, not quite knowing what they're looking for. Thank god we have a shield over the mansion, or they would have found us. I head back upstairs. I enter my bedroom, and find it empty. Damn it, now where is that girl? I hear laughter down the hall, and I facepalm. So Sally found her.
I open the pink door and step in.
Wow.
Was NOT expecting that.
(Y/N) is sitting at a little pink table, wearing a pink little apron, and holding a teacup. She does not look happy.
But Sally does. She’s giggling away, and (Y/N) shoots me a look that says: Help me! I laugh, and Sally looks up. “Oh, Sir Toby, you are early! Our tea party isn’t until 4! But you can join us now,” Sally says, and my expression turns to one of horror.
(Y/N) looks quite amused. “Oh Sir Toby, do join us, although I’m not sure there’s enough room for you at this table,” She says, then whispers something in Sally’s ear. They both start giggling, and I’m sure by now my face is red as a tomato. I grab (Y/N) by her arm, and pull her out the door. She looks at me with a pouty face. I sigh.
“Do you r-really want to play with th-that 8-year-old?” I ask, and she shakes her head.
“No, but I enjoy her company more than yours,” She says, sticking her tongue out at me. I look down, frowning.
“Now I KNOW you’re p-pulling my leg,” I say, flicking her in the back of her head. Dang it, this human is growing on me. That wasn’t supposed to happen. I lead her back down to the living room and push her onto the couch. “Sit,” I say, as she starts to stand up. She pouts, but stays put. “G-Good girl,” I pat her head, and she growls at me.
Your POV
You’ve been sitting on this couch for 10 minutes. When is he getting back? You feel hands on your knees, and you jump. You look down, and sigh. It’s just BEN. He wiggles up onto the couch with a game controller in his hand. He holds it up to you, and you take it. “You want to play a game?” You ask him, and he nods, grinning. You sigh. You already know he’s gonna win, so why not?
You take the controller and turn on the Xbox. He grins at you, and you raise an eyebrow. “I’m gonna beat you, (Y/N),” BEN inserts a disk into the Xbox as he says this, and you laugh.
“We’ll see.”
10 minutes later
“Damn it- No! BEN I’M ON YOUR TEAM! Stop, don’t- And you shot me. Great,” You yell. “BEN, why did you do that??? I was on your team! Are you blind?” BEN looks at you innocently, cocking his head slightly.
“I didn’t kill you…” He denies, and you shake your head. He grins guiltily. “Alright, I may or may not have killed you, and it may or may not have been on accident,” He admits, running off.
“BEN!”
All that’s heard is laughter.
You sigh, standing up. You’re done waiting. You’re not a dog, as much as Toby implied earlier… You hear footsteps coming down the stairs, and you watch in curiosity, wondering who you’ll meet next. A red soaked hoodie is all you see before turning away, running in the opposite direction. Damn it! That’s the Jeff dude! You hear footsteps behind you, and hands wrap around your waist, pulling you back. You’re shoved into a wall, and a scream becomes lodged in your throat as a hand clamps over your mouth. Through terror-stricken eyes, you see a large smile upon the attacker, eyes wide and unblinking.
“Hey sweetheart, miss me?” A raspy voice says, and you turn your head, refusing to look at him. His hand grips my chin forcing me to look at him. “Now now, we have a score to settle. You do remember what you did to me, correct?” You look him in the eyes, and spit in them. He lets go, attempting to wipe them free, due to his lack of eyelids. You take off, running through the mansion.
I need a hiding place. You think to yourself. You veer off at the end of the long hallway, and head up a set of stairs. There are only two doors, you take the first one, closing the door behind you. You look around the dark room, spotting a closet. You open it, and close it behind you, sliding back to the corner of the closet. You don’t even want to think about what that slimy stuff you’re sliding in is, although you have a pretty good idea… You hold your breath as the door creaks open.
“Come out, come out wherever you are! Is this hide and seek? (Y/N), you know I’ll win… You left a trail of blood leading to this room…” You gasp, bringing your hand to your side. It comes away bloody. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He reopened the wound when he grabbed me! Something tickles your nose, and you resist the urge to sneeze. It feels like… feathers. Something sharp pokes your arm, and you cover your own mouth, trying not to let any sounds out. “(Y/N)... I know where you are,” Jeff says in a sing-songy voice, and you frown. How did he find out your name? You never told him or even mentioned it around him.
You hear something shift behind you, and you turn your head, eyes growing wide in terror. “Are we playing Hide and Seek? Why didn’t you invite me? I LOVE Hide and Seek…”
