I lay there quietly. The nurse, nurse Taylor,  returns with some breakfast for me. I sit up, and she sets the tray down on my lap. I look down, scrambled eggs and yogurt and orange juice. With my damaged jaw, I can't have anything more solid than this. I slowly eat. Nurse Taylor pulls up the chair closer to me and sits down.
"How are you doing?" She says calmly.
"A little tired, a little sore" I say.
"Understandable. I will have the doctor check in with you later" She says bluntly.
"How's my father?" I ask, staring at her. She sighs and sits back.
"He's still asleep, love" she says quietly. I sigh and set my fork down. I take a sip of juice, then pass her the tray. I don't want to eat any more.
"When will Dad wake up?" I whine.
"I don't know, we can never even guess how long someone will wake from a coma" she says calmly.
"Could he die?" I ask, my voice quiet and quivering. The nurse doesn't answer. She sits back and rests her chin in her hand. She then stands up and starts putting her hands against me, against my belly and ribs.
"What are you doing?" I snap.
"Just checking your injuries, you seem fine" she says and sits down again. I look over at her.
"You can't let that woman take me back to that school" I say, in a deep, threatening tone.
"What other option would you have?" She asks impatiently.
"Go home, back to my Aunt Lisa" I sigh.
"I'll give her a call, and inform her of you and your father" she says, standing up and leaving the room. I lay back down and fall asleep for a nap. Later it was the afternoon. I lay there quietly, then the doctor walks in.
"How are you doing today?" He says, rocking on the balls of his feet. I don't say anything. The doctor pulls out a stethoscope and puts the end against my chest. I sit still. Then he feels my abdomen.
"You do not have internal injuries, I though you would, since the crash was pretty bad. I'd say stay for observation till tomorrow. You have a minor concussion and a few bruised bones, but it'll heal and you'll be fine" The doctor informs then leaves the room. I sigh and slump back down.
"I'll be back later" the nurse says.
"Nurse?" I say, she stops and turns to me.
"I'm really bored" I say. She nods and leaves the room, she then comes back, rolling in a t.v on a stand and setting it up across the foot of my bed, then handing me the remote, then leaves. I turn on the t.v and watch television for a while.
Nurse Taylor returns, and Aunt Lisa steps up behind her.
"Aunt Lisa..." I say slowly, surprised she actually showed up.
"Hello, Maddie. How are you doing?" She says.
"I'm worried about Dad" I say.
"I know, me too. What happened?"  She asks, raising a brow.
"We got into a car crash" I say quietly. The nurse is still in the room.
"Did you make your Dad crash somehow?" She growls. I sit right up, my eyes widen, my jaw drops, even the nurse was shocked.
"What the Hell Lisa?! Of course I didn't cause it! Why would you even say that?!" I shout.
"You are unpredictable" she says.
"How... How could you even?!" I shout.
"Alright, that's enough, Lisa, please come with me" Nurse Taylor says and leads Lisa out of the room. I growl. How could Aunt Lisa even think that? She thinks I did something to cause the crash, and it was all Ms Perison's fault!
I lay down again. Soon, Lisa comes back.
"What are you going to do when you get out of here?" She asks.
"I want to come home" I say.
"No" she says in a deep voice.
"What? What do you mean, no?" I shriek.
"You're going to go back to the boarding school and continue your studies" she says seriously.
"What? After all whats happened, and your making me go back to school?!" I say in shock.
"Yep" She says sternly and leaves the room. I get so mad, I stand up and throw the end-table across the room and scream. I start punching the walls and scream in frustration. A different nurse runs into the room and grabs my shoulders, I turn and start punching her and screaming, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Hey! Stop!" The nurse yells, trying to get me to stop thrashing and punching. I continue to punch her hard, but she grabs my wrists and throws me down against my bed and holds me down as I continue to scream. Aunt Lisa peeks into the room. I spot her,
"Bitch!" I yell, so she walks back into the halls.  I keep screaming and crying at this nurse, she holds me down till I get tired and calm down a bit. I breathe heavily through my nose, still growling and getting angry.
"What's going on?!" The nurse shouts at me. I just continue to growl, not saying anything.
"I don't want to go back to the school!" I cry.
"What school?" she asks.
"Leeron boarding school, I can't go back!" I cry out. The nurse sits down in the chair, waiting for me to calm down more.
I finally fall asleep from exhaustion from fighting and punching the walls. The nurse leaves.
I wake up late that morning. Nurse Taylor comes in, and gives me breakfast of oatmeal. I finish.
Later, Ms Perison comes back to the hospital and signs my release forms.
"Let me see my father before we leave" I say hoarsely.
"No" Ms Perison says vaguely.
"Let me see him!" I scream. Nurse Taylor sighs and walks me down the hall to Dads room. I walk up to dad, who is still in a coma. I sigh, and grab his hand, rubbing his fingers.
"Dad... Please wake up" I say quietly. He lays there motionlessly, my eyes start to tear up.
"Dad... I'm worried about you, please Dad, please wake up... I love you" I say, crying harder, still holding his hand. He starts breathing deeper after I say that.
"Dad... Daddy... Please wake..." I say slowly, tears running down my cheeks. Ms Perison steps into the room.
"C'mon, it's time to go" she says quietly. I cry harder, I lean over and kiss Dad's forehead.
"Goodbye Dad... I love you..." I say crying, then leave the room with Ms Perison. She grabs my suitcase, they must have grabbed it for me from the car after the crash.  We exit the hospital, I get into Ms Perison's car, it only has a few scratches and some small dents from the crash. She drives me back to Leeron boarding school.
