The Boarding School

I get a horrible whiplash from the collision. I push away the airbags. I start getting super drowsy, I look over at Dad, who was knocked out, I look through the windshield of the other car who pulled in front of us, it was Ms Perison who was driving. Arianna knocked out in the passenger seat. Ms Perison got out of the car, looking like she didn't even get hurt. That's when I pass out.
I wake up in a hospital room, in a bed wearing a gray hospital gown. I don't remember anything from last night. I'm nervous and start shaking. I have many bruises on my arms. I slowly slowly move to the edge of my bed and sit up. I slowly stand up, weakly standing on my feet, I hold onto the bed to keep balance. I walk out of the room and start walking down the hall. I frantically peek inside other rooms, not knowing what I'm doing. The last thing I remember from last night was I was in the care with Dad... Dad! He's got to be here! I continue looking into other rooms. Then I feel a hand on my shoulder, I get startled and  whip around. Its a lady nurse, who was wearing light pink scrubs, with long red hair and bright blue eyes.
"Sorry for scaring you, you're Maddie Maddox, right?" she says, studying me.
"Th-that's right" I shudder.
"What are you doing?" She says, still eyeing me.
"I'm looking for my father..." I say quietly.
"John Maddox?" She asks. I nod my head slowly.
"You cannot see him right now. He's unconscious and has serious injuries" she informs.
"No!!" I scream. "Let me see him!"
"I will not allow that, sweetheart" she says sadly. I start running down the hall, peeking into the ICU rooms. The nurse chases me, but I keep running, fast. I find the room Dad was in and sprint inside, then my heart sinks when I see him. Unconscious, many bruises on his face, his chest wrapped in bandages like he has broken ribs. I start crying hard when I see him, I walk over and hold his hand, he is motionless. My tears fall on his hands.
"Maddie, you shouldn't be in here, come with me" The nurse in pink scrubs says to me.
"What's wrong with my Dad?" I whine, looking down at him.
"He's sleeping honey. He has broken ribs and a major head injury. You should let him rest, and he may wake up" She says slowly. She walks over to me and takes my wrist.
"I want to stay with my dad" I say, still crying.
"No... You haven't been fully checked, you may have internal injuries, please come with me" She says, pulling on my wrist. I stand still. Then she starts yanking on my wrist, trying to make me go with her. A doctor comes in and grabs my waist and starts pulling me away.
"DADDY!!!!" I scream as they drag me out of the room.
"Daddy!" I cry out, as they drag me down the hall.
"C'mon darling" Said the nurse. I look at her name tag, Nurse Taylor. I continue to scream, struggling to get out of their grip. I scream and punch nurse Taylor in the face and hit the doctor in the side of the chin and start running down the halls. I run back to Dad's hospital room and close the door, leaning my back against it so maybe they can't enter. They push on the door, trying to get in.
"Dad, please get up" I whimper. He lays there motionlessly, only his chest moving from breathing.
The doctors push hard on the door, opening it and knocking me to the floor. I whimper, hurting my arm by falling on it. I whine as the one nurse grabs my arms and pulls me up and starts walking me down the hall, I take one more worried glance at Dad, I hope he will be okay...
The nurse takes me back to my hospital room.
"Rest now darling. You and your father should be fine. Stay here, I'll be back to check on you later" she says sweetly, then leaving the room, closing the door. I sigh and lay down. I stare at the ceiling, deep in thought, trying to remember what happened last night, but I still can't remember. I think about Dad, I really hope he's going to be alright. I lay down and pull up the sheets over me. I fall asleep.
Later, the nurse comes back into the room, and someone follows in behind her, it's Ms Perison.
"Maddie... I'm sorry to here about your father" Ms Perison says, kneeling down next to my bed. I look closer at her face, and my head suddenly starts spinning. I cover my eyes with one hand.
"The doctor says you should be fine in a couple days, and if your father is not awake by then, I'll take you back to the school" she says. I look at her.
"No..." I whine and look away.
"You don't really have any other choice right now, Maddie" She says calmly. I look closer at Ms Perison's face, then I remember, we got in a cart crash, and it was her fault... She did it on purpose.
"You caused that crash! You're the reason Dad and I are stuck here!" I yell. She frowns and stands up straight.
"You did this to us!" I scream, jumping out of bed, about to attack her, the nurse pulls out a syringe out of her pocket and pushes it into my neck and injects the substance. I can feel myself suddenly get very tired, I start collapsing.
"You did this!" I scream and whine, slowly collapsing to the floor. "You did this to us!" I scream and fall asleep on the floor. The nurse steps up and pulls me up back into my bed.  
I wake up, my eyes fluttering open, I try to sit up but I have a major headache. I moan and lay back down. I look at my arm, it got pretty bruised. Then I remember that Dad's unconscious. I whimper and roll to my side. I let out a big sigh and look around the room. It's almost totally empty, just my bed, a chair, an end table and a shelf is present in the room. I look around. On the shelf is my clothes and my cellphone. I reach up and grab my cellphone. I got a call from home. I call back the number. My sister Ashley picks up.
"Hello?" She says.
"Ashley listen... Something really bad happened" I say slowly and quietly.
"What is it?" She asks. "Wheres dad?"
"Dad's unconscious" I say quietly, my eyes tearing up.
"Oh my god... What happened?" She asks in concern.
"We got in a car crash when he was driving me home. Ashely, I'm really scared for him... What if he doesn't wake up?" I say very worried.
"He will be okay Maddie" She says quietly, I can tell she's tearing up.
"But the headmistress of the school wants to take me back!" I say in a frantic.
"Maybe I should put Lisa on the phone...?" She says.
"No, I don't want to talk to her.... Tell her for me?" I plead.
"Ugh.. Fine" She finally agrees.
"I'm really scared" I say.
"I know... I have to go now...  Or Aunt Lisa will yell at me that I didn't do any chores, gotta run" She says and hangs up. I sigh and put my phone down on the end table.
I rub my eyes and stare at the ceiling. Nurse Taylor walks in.
"Maddie, are you alright?" She asks. I moan then nod my head.
"I think you are okay to leave here for tomorrow" She says.
"Where's my dad? Is he okay?" I ask. Her smile erases.
"He's still unconscious, love. I don't know how long it'll take for him to wake up. He got some pretty bad head injuries" She says quietly.
"Let me stay! I don't want to go back to that school!" I plead.
"Your injuries aren't serious. We must make you leave tomorrow so someone else can have your room" She explains.
I smack my face and rub my hand down it. I can't believe I'm going to end up back to that damned school.
