Unforgiven

Unforgiven

I died yesterday. I'm not accepted into heaven. But I still have a chance to get in. Why I'm not accepted, you ask? I died doing bad. I died killing my best friend. If that makes any sense. I must prove myself worthy by doing good. But not just any good deed. I must be sent back in time, to stop myself ever meeting my best friend and stop myself from being over powered by greed and manipulation.

Absence

I walk confidently towards my old classroom, Eli following close behind. Tyler's words echo through my mind.
'Being the blizzard he is'
What is Eli really like? If someone compares another to a blizzard, does that mean, alone, ferocious and selfish? I've seen none of those qualities. I've seen determination, thoughtfulness and glee. Perhaps he's putting on a fake smile, but why would he break the rules for something without meaning? I shouldn't think too hard about this, it's none of my business and this perhaps, isn't the right time. I shake away all my thoughts with a simple breath. In and out. Calming and soothing. I glance up.
"This is it," I exclaim. My voice lingers in the air as silence hangs between us, which is rudely interrupted by my mind forcing my legs to move, propelling me into the classroom.
"Stephania!" My teacher exclaims. Her eyes shift to the boy standing behind me. "Um, hello? What is it?" She asks.
"I'm here with Stephania, I'm her protector,"
"As in guardian, like, you're her fath-"
"No, I mean I'm her protector,"
"Well I'm afraid I don't think you can stay with her in class,"
"Oh, I think I can,"
"No, I really do think you should go," Glares shoot between them as the bickering continues. This is pointless. I begin to make my way to my desk when,
BAM
Eli's hand shoots out and grabs my wrist. Hard. I stumble a bit before turning around. Eli's glare is fixed on my teacher, his hand fixed on my wrist.
"I'm staying with her, got it?" The teacher opens her mouth to speak. Eli narrows his eyes.
"Fine,"

I walk down to my desk, whispers arising.
"Oh and Stephania, Carasolla isn't here today, so you'll be by yourself," My eyes widen.
"Where the hell is that Dark Angel you were talking about?" Eli whispers.
"She's..." My voice trails off. "She's the girl who's not here,"
