The Note: MYSTERY #1

I put my hair into a pony tail, slipped on a green sweatshirt, and headed to the science building.
It was 3:00 in the afternoon - time for the first "Earth Club" meeting.
When I got to the science classroom, Mr. Kenny was already there. So were Gary, Mia, and Will, along with a bunch of other kids I didn't know. Mr. Kenny smiled and spread his hands out wide.
"Welcome to the very first meeting of the Earth Club!" he announced. "Today, we will be watching paper be recycled. Let's all head down to the main building, grab some scrap paper bins, and go on over to the recycling center!"
I started down the stairs with the rest of the team. We went into the main building and each began lugging some bins down the sidewalk to the recycling center. Suddenly, I tripped. My ankle was yanked out from under me, and I fell to the ground. The members giggled, and my face heated up.
"I'm... I'm okay." I mumbled, tenderly feeling my ankle. When I felt it wasn't swollen, I let out a breath of relief and stood up.
Then I saw it - a scrap of paper in the middle of the road. It must have blown out of my bin when I fell. I couldn't just leave litter there, so I cautiously stepped out in the road and grabbed the paper before jogging back to join the rest of the group.
I felt the paper with my fingers. It seemed thick and creased. Was it folded? I looked down and checked. Sure enough, it was, so I unfolded it.
There was a message on the paper. I squinted, trying to make out the words.
It said, "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE COME QUICKLY IN THE CLOSET ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE MAIN BUILDING DANIEL HARRISON HAS ME TRAPPED MY NAME IS JA".
My stomach rose to my throat. "Ja"? Who is "Ja"? Was it Jane? Jack? Jasmine? I didn't know anyone with a name that started with "Ja-".
All of a sudden, I remembered something. Years ago, when I was a freshman, a sophomore named Daniel reported a dead body to the police. The body was mutilated and no one could identify it for a while. Until a teacher said that their student went missing earlier that year - a student named James. James had been a genius who applied for a job in NASA and got it. He was being paid a lot of money. But Daniel was in the position directly under James, and if anything happened to James, Daniel would have moved up and gotten the awesome job.
I guess jealousy can do terrible things.
