Shifting hearts (fanfic story)

Brunos vision

Carmen was hanging with camilo at the casita when she noticed mirabel heading towards brunos room. Carmen tilted her head and dragged camilo with her to follow. Camilo was confused but went along with it shrugging when he saw his cousin climbing up the stairs. "Ughh bruno your room sucks!" Mirabel said causing both camilo and carmen to snicker.

Camilo went to climb up after her but carmen turned into a white vulture, picking camilo up and flew all the way to the top and gently set him down. While they waited for mirabel camilo looked at carmen shocked "I didn't know you could shapeshift!" He said and carmen smirked "yea but i can shift into animals you shift into people". Camilo shrugged and watched as his cousin who swung herself over the gap and looked at the two of them in shock.

"So shat are you doing in brunos room mirabel?" Carmen asked crossing her arms. "I'm trying to fix the miracle!" Mirabel said which confused carmen a bit "have you forgotten what i said to you?" Mirabel went quiet at this question, camilo being confused. "I told you at camilos ceremony that you not getting a gift would also be a good thing... If I'm not mistaken you're- no I shouldn't spoil yet..." Carmen went to explain but stopped. "No please tell me!" Mirabel insisted. "I can't... Just get what you came for"

Mirabel sighed and the three of them went inside the vault seeing glowing emerald stones. Carmen had flashbacks of seeing the horror on Bruno's face and felt bad but snapped back to reality when she heard camilo calling her. "Carmen! Come on help us get the rest of the shards before this place collapses!" He said and carmen turned into a dog and began to dig giving mirabel the shards. The three attempted to escape but only mirabel was able to get out in time. Carmen sighed and layed down as she knew mirabel would get help.

Camilo looked at carmen "you were at my ceremony?" He asked causing carmens head to shoot up and she nodded. "Y-yea i was... It was funny when you yelled out you're a chameleon" she slightly giggled which made camilo do his shy sweet smile that I'm sure everyone loves. "Shall we play a game while we wait?" Carmen asked and camilo shrugged "eh sure what game?" Carmen grinned "how about truth or truth?" Camilo nodded. "So have you ever had a crush in someone camilo?" Carmen giggled and camilo slightly blushed. "Well... I uhh might have one now but I'm not sure yet I'd have to get to know her a bit more" he confessed and carmen nodded. "What about you?" He smirked.

Carmen squeaked and looked away "i suppose i might.... But I don't wanna ruin our friendship" camilo nodded "understandable". This game went on for quite a bit until carmen got bored and turned into a rat and started acting. Camilo watched intrigued by this, when suddenly light appeared and mirabel stood there with Antonio. Carmen quickly turned back to normal and coughed causing camilo to snicker. Both mirabel and Antonio became confused but shrugged it off as they exited Bruno's room and all went their separate ways.

Carmen turned into a rat and quickly made her way to Bruno. "Bruno.... Mirabel umm found the vision in your room..." She warned and Bruno's eyes widened "no no no no! Nobody was supposed to know about that!" He panicked and as carmen watched they could hear the family singing about bruno. "And.... they're singing about me..." Bruno sighed which made carmen shrug and they both listened in. "I- that wasn't a propechy.... I just saw my sister sweating... I didn't mean to ruin her wedding..." Bruno admitted. Carmen nuzzled her friend feeling bad for him and they continued listening in.

When camilo started singing, carmen fell over and squeaked and began melting onto the floor. Bruno looked at her and chuckled while shaking his head "you really like my nephew don't you?" He asked. Carmen could only nod as a huge smile crept on her face. Once the song was over, carmen turned back to normal and hugged bruno tightly making him smile and she quickly left. When carmen reached the entrance she heard alma call out to her.

"Carmen? Why don't you come join us for dinner?" She offered and carmen kindly accepted and sat next to mirabel. Camilo looked at Carmen with a small smile and watched her a little bit. Meanwhile carmen watched mirabel and dolores staring at each other and sighed when suddenly dolores whispered to camilo about mirabel and bruno. Camilo malfunctioned turning into mirabel, then bruno and then his eyes bugged out. Carmen tried not to laugh and quickly took a drink, then camilo told his dad who spit out his drink and alma had that face like 'felix I'm gonna freaking kill you'.

Felix then told pepa who freaked out and started having thunder over her head. Carmen facepalmed as alma reminded pepa of her cloud and pepa kept trying to calm down "clear skies clear skies" she told herself. Suddenly everything went bad and dolores yelled out about mirabel seeing Bruno's vision pissing alma off. "And that's my que to go... I umm have... A lot of uhhh err... Things to do yea things!" Carmen lied and quickly ran off.

Camilo watched carmen and sighed with a small smile on his face then he turned to alma who was clearly upset at mirabel.
